Ingleton Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers came together to remember the sacrifices of servicemen and women, past and present. Having marched to church to present their Colours, the 2-minute silence was a poignant moment of reflection & respect @CravenHerald @scouts

SIESU Cooking Challenge: Having chosen a dish to prepare, Ingleboro' Explorer teams swapped the ingredients but without any recipe instructions! Tomato Soup Cake & Stargazy Pie emerged from the campfires with somewhat mixed results but well done for trying! @NYScouts @scouts

Ingleton Scouts and Explorers did a splendid job of ushering at Ingleton’s latest pantomime, Rapunzel. In addition, the Gala King, who is also a Scout, helped draw the raffle with Jayne Lis. What a super way to support the local community! @NYScouts @scouts @Thisisingleton

Ingleborough Scouts are delighted to welcome Chief Scout, Dwayne Fields, to the District in March. He'll be attending a special event to celebrate the completion of the 1st Castleberg Scout Group's new Drill Hall entrance in Settle allowing access to all. @NYScouts @scouts⚜️

Whittling, the satisfying art of carving wood, is also a great way to learn safe knife skills so Settle Explorers embarked on spoon making. Starting from a tree trunk, repeatedly shaving slithers with perseverance and patience, resulted in some pleasing results. @NYScouts

Settle Cubs enjoyed learning about the Chinese New Year. A parent told the legend of the monster Lian, another showed them how to use chopsticks. Cubs made Fu character posters, New Year cards & Dragon masks, all accompanied with Chinese music @NYScouts @scouts @settlestories

Troop Solves Knotty Problem! Castleberg Scouts have been busy with ropes once again! This time it was a 3D puzzle evening when they learnt the highwayman’s hitch, sheepshank, one handed bowline, as well as how to tie a sheepshank during a tug of war contest! @NYScouts

After years of fund raising, having raised £190,000, 1stCastleberg Scouts have been able to build a new entrance with a lift for disabled access. Members of the wider community will now be able to use the hall on a more regular basis. For bookings, email settlescouting@gmail.com

Settle Scouts have been cooking cheese dreams, bacon butties, blackbirds (fried jam sandwiches) and fried Nutella sarnies which all went down a treat! They also enjoyed learning how to tie knots so they could race chariots around their headquarters! @NYScouts @SettleWebsite

Ingleton Beavers enjoyed an autumn sleepover with colouring on arrival, paper boat making, adventures in the park, a very wet walk following tracking signs on Storrs Common, pizza tea and a DVD before bed! @NYScouts @Thisisingleton @inglesport
