Deluded fool who still believes you can have civil, engaging discussions on this platform. Eclectic but boring interests. You've been warned

I used to love 'debating' over pints at the pub. No matter the topic, there was a risk of things getting heated. Despite all that I never went over the line enough to get punched in the face. I try to tweet the same way.

@mattgurney when both sides feel you belong to the other it suggests you might be on the right track.
RayCee@ray_jay_cee

@mattgurney Spoken like a true reject that lives only in a liberal echo chamber. It’s ok lil fella, we all know you can’t think for yourself. Wipe your chin and keep getting out there though.

@prairiecentrist There is this disconnect that people who solely engage online have. Rogan is huge, but huge is an average audience globally of 11 million per week. They are by and large converted. This doesn't move the needle either way for him and does nothing to short up losses on the left

@henrywinter I am with you on treating academy players differently than they do now. Give them more value playing for the club that nurtured them vs the current model that provides more value in profiting from their sale.

8 of the 16 players Barcelona used last night were nurtured fully, or partly, by the club. That breeds togetherness and identity. Whether for reasons of financial necessity or club culture, more English clubs need to re-assess the balance between recruitment and development. 1/2

@prairiecentrist No clue but between that and 1 Bloc seat, it just feels a little too much. That being said, if it pushes the CPC to go centrist I'm all for it.

@prairiecentrist There is no way this poll can be true. 21 seats in AB, 14 In SK and MB. No doubt they are ahead but by that much?

@bruce_arthur The polls are decidedly Liberal but a grain of salt with this one. I just can't see 21 seats in Alberta

And yet Pierre still lost his seat in a general election? My god, shoot the dog.
Lisa MacLeod@MacLeodLisa

@DimitrisSoudas @brucefanjoy Thanks…as did Pierre. Remember he went to every community event. If he wanted something for Nepean-Carleton, everyone in PMO knew about it. He was a fine constituency man.

@PaulTassi @Forbes Small correction to the article. You indicate Weir is working on a third book, it would be his 4th. Artemis (which I believe has been optioned by Lord and Miller) is also his.

@prairiecentrist I used to have more time for Greg. Not all his takes, but since he ran for the CPC he had been deep in their echo chamber and now is barely worth the follow

@calgarygrit Oh yeah okay that (sort of) makes sense. For some reason I assumed it was run differential but its Runs allowed per defensive out. So looking to root for a defensive tight Mexican win. 1-0 with a Kirk solo shot would fit the bill

@Inhocmark My understanding is if Mexico wins but scores fewer than 5 runs (e.g. 4-2 win), then US is out.

Seldom seen the world as ugly and dark. Horror at absence of reason, tolerance, justice. Then remember it's my wife's birthday. And this morning I've privilege of celebrating the eucharist and preaching the Gospel. Ugliness to beauty, darkness to light.

GENUINE QUESTIONS: What would be the @CBC criteria as to whether or not to cover this particular committee hearing on @CBCNews today? Is it worthy of a story on @CBCTheNational or a panel on @PnPCBC? What about a discussion on @AtIssueCBC? The testimony in this video deals with questions on the minds of countless Canadians whose views are significantly underrepresented on the public broadcaster they pay for. I hear these types of questions at every single one of the dozens of constituent roundtables I host every year. The frustration is significant, and it needs to be heard and addressed. Doesn’t it? 🇨🇦

🚨 BREAKING: This is the second year in a row, where the Prime Minister has called elections, on a weekend where early polling, starts on an Easter weekend. It’s not an accident nor a coincidence. They do this, knowing that the over 65 crowd, is predominantly is less mobile during the Easter weekend, they travel less during the holidays. This favours the Liberals. Seniors, being less mobile (driving less & travelling during the holidays), have the ability to plan to ensure they get their votes in early. It secures their votes. Meanwhile, younger adults are more mobile and unable to vote early like retired folks can. If Carney wins these 3 by-elections, he has a majority.

@Inhocmark @simsimmaaz I think there’s a loophole. If you make the serving size small enough lots of products would pass. But I don’t see anyone eating 10 chips.

@Ironman24_7 @simsimmaaz Interesting. I don't buy chips often but I have seen them on doritos. Perhaps they legitimately don't hit that % threshold.
