You take care of everyone around you.
You check up on people. You listen to their problems. You sacrifice your comfort so others can feel okay. You carry people emotionally, mentally, financially, and sometimes even spiritually. You make sure everyone is fine, even when you’re silently falling apart yourself.
But the painful question is… who takes care of you?
Who notices when you’re tired without you having to explain it?
Who checks if you’re okay when you suddenly go quiet?
Who pours back into you the same way you pour into everyone else?
Some of the strongest people are actually the most neglected. Everyone assumes they’re fine because they always seem available, dependable, and emotionally strong. But strength can become a prison when nobody thinks you deserve care too.
Sometimes, the people who smile the most are secretly hoping someone would ask them, “How are you really doing?”
Being needed by everyone can feel good, but it can also become exhausting when nobody remembers that you are human too. Even caregivers need care. Even protectors need protection. Even the strong ones need a safe place to rest.
Don’t lose yourself trying to save everyone else. The people who truly value you won’t only come to you when they need something. They’ll also stay when you need someone.
