@macroflaneur @dieworkwear ah someone who doesn’t understand fashion beyond their narrow scope. ok.
English

@dieworkwear A t-shirt is pretty much always a negative to a person’s look. In no situation, other than sport, a t-shirt is an improvement over a shirt.
People should realise they don’t need to own non-sport t-shirts at all

@LeonardGo @dieworkwear I think at the 200~ range it’s a legit argument as it definitely outlasts 4 pairs of shoes at 50 by a lot. At 400+ I think it’s a hobby and personal satisfaction thing, which is fine too. We can spend money for pretty things.
English

@dieworkwear I’ll be the first to admit I’m in the expensive shoe camp, but think the economic math is consistently weak. It’s possible to buy multiple inexpensive but serviceable shoes for the price of one high end pair, and for most that’s a lot more utility.

@GeorgeOu @dieworkwear @aesthdistance1 oh stfu, as an Asian, if you’re an Asian in enough Asian communities and don’t think Asian communities have anti black racism issues, then it’s because you’re okay with it and don’t see anything wrong… as demonstrated here.
English

@dieworkwear @aesthdistance1 You should not generalize Asians as being biased against darker skin Asians. Even if those older Asians have that attitude, they're not hurting anyone and it certainly doesn't justify them getting their head caved in with a sucker punch. This ain't the time & place.
English

@dieworkwear @aesthdistance1 Yeah wtf. I’m Chinese and people were horrid vs darker skin Asians growing up.
English

@aesthdistance1 If you extend this logic, the Irish and Italians would have never experienced racism in white America. Ppl often know the ethnicities of ppl in their community, and through social markers such as a person's surname, accent, etc. You know if your neighbor is Korean, Filipino, etc
English

@AliasedArtist @dieworkwear Probably more minimalist design. Graphic tees are great for some aesthetic, but plain tees in an interesting fabric or some kind of casual shirt would make it more dressed up.
English

@dieworkwear So, as a guy who just has a basic closet of jeans, graphic t-shirts, khaki pants, and button down shirts, living in a relatively warmer region of the east coast, what are some of the most impactful wardrobe upgrades I could make to compliment what I've got right now?

This is complete rubbish attendees of our event were attacked by armed thugs in masks swinging sticks.
It’s unfortunate the ANTIFA attacked people attending our protest - this included stabbing a man
Police have already arrested several ANTIFA thugs.

@RealSexyCyborg @kodacmoose @snowscandinavia @zarkanen I mean I can’t speak for others, but I’m absolutely pissed off and have been vocal about hkers are complicit in our erasure, and their general conservatism, so there’s that 🤷🏻
English

I've been pretty clear others should try and use Cantonese, that's what you get.
If Western media is using my version, it's because Hong Kong influencers- both there and abroad, with platforms a similar size to mine have been complicit in the erasure. Instead of complaining about what I say, your efforts would be better directed to asking why they said nothing and I had to? You've got celebrities, you've got LGBT organizations? Why are they silent? Their risk is less than mine and I'm still out here fighting for those two women- while HKers bitch and moan about how I do it instead of tagging their own and asking why they aren't?
But holding your own to account is a lot less popular in Hong Kong than taking swipes at Mainlanders and blaming regular people here for all your problems, so that's not going to happen now is it?
English

@RealSexyCyborg @kodacmoose @snowscandinavia @zarkanen I mean it’s chill really, if you just include both and/or explain that the one you’re using is mandarin because that’s the language you choose to use. As it is western media who don’t know better are using your version w/o realising. People weren’t even that upset at it at first.

@RealSexyCyborg @kodacmoose @snowscandinavia @zarkanen As a queer hker, yo wtf? When Brianna Ghey was murdered in the UK we shout SAY HER NAME. So yes here I absolutely insist on saying their proper names too. I don’t see why you’re acting like it’s just cishets who use it like a distraction. We’re not asking a lot, to be remembered.
English

@kodacmoose @snowscandinavia @zarkanen If only their lives were as important to the "Hong Kong community" as the pronunciation of their names this might be getting more attention.
Yes, using the Cantonese pronunciation is good thing for most people to do- centering it repeatedly in the conversation is not.
