@blondesnmoney A law was passed at the end of February that gives companies 18 months to cancel any existing treasury shares and 12 months to cancel any newly acquired treasury shares.

We are witnessing the Korea Discount crumble in real time. Price drives sentiment and governance, as the Kospi hits fresh highs, there is a concerted push for long-term reform to keep it at those levels. Big news out of SK and Samsung to cancel treasury shares, the next step is for fresh repurchase programs, fresh cancellations, and an elimination of the chaebol discount. Everyone got a taste of a bull market and they don't want to go back. Today is a small first step, but I think the trend is inevitable, more capital returns, more passive investment, and eventually a smaller discount to global peers.

@blondesnmoney So am I, and my biggest stock positions are mostly Tobacco, REITs, and healthcare with a sprinkle of alcohol on top. Maybe the down days will lead to more tobacco and alcohol use, which in turn will boost the healthcare need.

@unusual_whales Uh oh, it just keeps spreading. I’m guessing the recent sell offs have something to do with all the private credit funds getting redemptions. This is only the start. Find your favorite overpriced companies and start watching for when they fall. Opportunity is on its way

Pretty much 100% of my timeline is people freaking out about KOSPI KOSPI is a memory chip story. There’s a great structural reform story, too, and it feels like nobody except @smartkarma and shareholder activists are paying attention

$OMC was sold on 3/04/2026, 5 shares at $425.45 ($85.09 a share). With $11.00 of dividends, the total profit is 10.45 (the original price was $426) or a 2.4% gain. It was a win overall but a loss for the stock price. #magicformula #joelgreenblatt

@douglaskimkorea The companies with the largest treasury shares % SK, Doosan, Mirae assets, Bookook, and Lotte showed up in my screen. Lotte seems to be the only one that hasn’t surged over the past year because of the liquidity concerns. The petrochemical division may get a boost from the war.

@blondesnmoney I’ll have to take a look at it. I like the business, but it always seems expensive. With the popularity of Japan stocks and expanding into Korea in June, their profits for fx conversions and foreign fees should be excellent as long as the rallies don’t peter out too soon.

@DarioCpx WW3 had already begun years ago. It’s just being fought differently than a traditional war. It all started as a cyber war and is now escalating. Think of all the cyber attacks on infrastructure like the pipelines. Then, you had Russia and Ukraine start. These are all connected.

I hope none hit the target because in that case it won’t take much more for this whole mess to spiral out of control and eventually WW3 to officially begin

@leevalueroach The rotation has begun. Anytime the market turns red, I’m looking at green for my portfolio. It pays to look at not just the fundamentals but also the price you pay for something.

The deep value names are coiling. The balance sheets are pristine. The cash will compound like Berkshire in 1975. The P/B will rip to 3x. The short interest will evaporate. The activists will swarm. The buybacks will be relentless. The spinoffs will unlock hidden NAV. The sum-of-the-parts will be undeniable. The catalysts will cascade. Graham and Dodd will be vindicated. The margin of safety will explode into alpha. The mean reversion will be violent and beautiful. Buffett will nod approvingly from Omaha. The patient capital will reign supreme globally. The compounding will accelerate.

I felt like something weird was going on in the put options on Thursday and Friday for $QQQ, so I bought a $600 put for June 30th to hedge my $GOOG, and $MSFT exposure. Only 1 put because I have very little exposure to tech companies.

Walmart briefly crossed $1 trillion in market cap. While everyone spent the last two years arguing about which AI stock would win, this "boring" retailer quietly more than doubled. Investing is humbling.

@CatNyanpital @InsiderHawk With the US, it seems like there’s more of a variety of brands that cater to individuals. Here, the group mentality is stronger leading to certain brand following stronger as a whole. That’s just my take on it though
