My visit to Algeria last week highlighted the potential to deepen commercial and economic ties between our two countries, especially in the energy and agricultural sectors. One exciting project is being spearheaded by Baladna, a Qatari company building the world’s largest integrated dairy facility in the Algerian desert. As part of that project, they’ve committed to buy 30,000 American cows from 9 states. I can’t even imagine what the flights will be like to transport all those cows from the US to Algeria! Great project for both countries. 🇺🇸🐄🇩🇿

Algeria has pledged to construct a fully funded medical polyclinic in Namibia, a development confirmed today during a meeting between President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and Ambassador H.E. She reflected on engagements dating back to the 2008 Joint Commission, where health cooperation featured prominently, adding that the planned facility represents meaningful progress arising from those discussions. The President further acknowledged Algeria’s continued support in the field of education, highlighting that more than 100 Namibians have benefited from study opportunities in Algeria, including recent placements earlier this year. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation, with health and human capital development remaining central pillars of the Namibia–Algeria partnership.
