Inside Gombe

The 40MW Dadinkowa hydropower project has been finished. Governor @GovernorInuwa confirmed that, with this development,electricity will be stable in Gombe. The dam will serve as an avenue for agricultural activities. Mr President will soon be requested to come and commission it.

This is a prototype of the 184-hectare Agro-Industrial Development Zone in Gombe which received N120bn from the FG. This project will create jobs,boost agricultural activities, improve the state’s economy and position Gombe as an investment hub when it comes to cattle production.

The Gombe success story has become a model for others to emulate. Just of recent, Jigawa State Government led by Governor Namadi came to Gombe on a retreat in order to share ideas and emulate some of the successful models, policies and reforms in Gombe.

The team noted that Gombe has emerged as a landmark model in modern digital land administration and management and urban planning which is worth of emulation by others. Two years ago, GOGIS also received a delegation from Kano on the same purpose.

A delegation from the Taraba Geographic Information Service (TAGIS), led by the DG of TAGIS, and the Taraba State Surveyor General— commissioned by Governor Kefas— paid a working visit to GOGIS in Gombe to study the modus operandi of Gombe so as to implement same in their state.

The Gombe network 11-100 project train has hit Yamaltu-Deba. In Gombe, every town and village is experiencing an unprecedented transformation.

Many communities have experienced massive economic boost and development thanks to the network 11-100 initiative.

This Kuri to Dasa road in Yamaltu-Deba local government is at 70% completion rate. Right from the inception of this administration, the provision of access roads to remote areas in order to enhance economic activities and agriculture has been a very key priority.

The project will reduce congestion, beautify the city and eliminate frequent cases of accidents. With Gombe expanding in all dimension due to the massive infrastructure development that attracts massive influx of people, this project is in line with the Gombe developmental plans.

Gombe State Government has concluded plans to construct and underpass and several road networks in the newly established Three Arms Zone, Central Business District in, Gombe City. This is the first time this kind of gigantic project is taking place in Gombe.

One thing that characterises Gombe is the fact that, in spite of it being a multi-religious and multi-ethnic state, the people live in peace and harmony with each other. Peaceful co-existence and respect for individual differences are very prevalent in Gombe.

Gombe State was awarded the best state in terms of security yesterday. The award was presented to Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s team yesterday. For two years running, Gombe has consistently maintained its positon as the most peaceful state in Nigeria in terms of peace.
