@Insidiator69 @haugejostein I’m fully conversant with neoliberalism having watched it being imposed on the UK from 1979 onwards, advocated by Friedman and others, inflicting untold destruction to societies and public services around the world. A choice at an election is two neoliberal parties is not choice.

The Economist's democracy index should be renamed to the "how close can you get to the Western liberal model" index.
It's absurd that some people still buy into this nonsense.
A state legitimacy index would be far more interesting. The results would be quite different.

@TonerousHyus Why would a ceasefire be a capitulation. Iran's regime is still there, they still have missiles and drones, they have endured the bombings, and Trump is perceived as the loser.
The Strait of Hormuz was already open before this war anyway. Meaningless war.
