@ciaranodeorain What did you make of DS seemed to be travelling really well, then paddling with legs going everywhere then ran on…

@cdrobbo82 TBF Neville has been pro Arsenal for a while now… JC however is v bitter in his comments towards the gunners for sure… COYG

Massive congrats to Arsenal . Worst champions of the Prem era thanks to the style of their manager ? a poor man's Wimbledon of the late 80s early 90s . The crazy gang they are not . Fantastic squad , should've won this seasons league by double digits . Shackled by Arteta . Good luck in the final v PSG . I'll be supporting the English clubs in the 3 Euro finals , as Liverpool isn't one of them 👍

Classic’s dam is GEORGE WASHINGTON only foal so
He’s the half brother to Distant Storm
At The Races@AtTheRaces
Timed to perfection! Delivered by Pat Dobbs, Classic grabs the stand-side rail and charges home to thwart Indalo... @rhannonracing @NewburyRacing

@DebsLouK @newsellspark @rhannonracing Backed him on course. He looked amazing, travelled like a beast, just needed the gap and he took it… love this horse
English

Classic!!! Loved that!! Dubawi x Date With Destiny. Such a special mare - loved her progeny ❤️ @newsellspark @rhannonracing

@Bradyg187 @John1986ire @godolphin @DarleyEurope @NewburyRacing @WilliamBuickX Maybe however equally he a) didn’t win at 2 and b) market is not exactly short on Dubawi milers and c) Darley could also be having Bow Echo retire onto their roster at same time…
English

🚀 that turn of foot 😮💨 always a horse that will find trouble with his style but Jesus he’s a machine when it falls right!! He’ll be some stallion prospect !! 💰 love to see it @godolphin @DarleyEurope @NewburyRacing @WilliamBuickX
John@John1986ire
Looking forward to the Lockinge 🙂 you would imagine at his best with a clear run Notable Speech just wins doesn’t he? At least the ayes had couple winners yesterday!

@abracing0 Watched it back an couldn’t believe how well he ran considering the shape or the race pace wise… serious horse
English

@aobrienfansite Interestingly Montreal was designated 1st string in the Leopardstown Champ Juvenile before pulled out re ground - recently Aidan has targeted this with something v high up the order; A Rodin, Diego, Delacroix… so he’s one even at 20-1 I’d be with not against

EARLY DERBY PICTURE SHIFTS AS CHRISTMAS DAY AND MONTREAL STEP FORWARD
Paul Rhodes For AOBFS April 29th
After a series of underwhelming efforts from early Classic contenders such as Action, Italy, Isaac Newton, New Zealand, Port Ferdinand, and Pierre Bonnard, the 2026 Derby picture is already beginning to take shape. In contrast, Ballysax Stakes winner Christmas Day and Prix de Suresnes runner-up Montreal have emerged as horses very much on the upgrade.
It remains early in the Classic trial season, with key tests at Chester, Leopardstown, and York still to come, but both colts have shown enough to suggest they belong firmly in the upper tier of Derby hopefuls.
Christmas Day, a son of Camelot out of a Listed-winning daughter of Sea The Stars (Beauly), boasts a strong pedigree as a half-brother to Group 3 winner Missed The Cut and race winner South Pole. His performance in the Ballysax was visually striking, as he routed Ballydoyle’s leading contender Pierre Bonnard by over six lengths, announcing himself as a serious Epsom prospect.
Montreal, by Sea The Stars out of a winning daughter of Elusive Quality, (Muwakaba) is a half-brother to Group 2 winner Cayenne Pepper. He produced a hugely encouraging effort in the Prix de Suresnes at Chantilly, going down only narrowly to the highly regarded and unbeaten Zarak colt Dolmalan, who had the benefit of a prior run. Montreal shaped like a colt crying out for further, and the step up to a mile and a half at Epsom looks sure to suit. I'm already on at 16/1.

@ciaranodeorain Fair enough, just remember Vautour jumping Kempton like he was going left handed, Willie trying to get the horse interested pre-Cheltenham etc
English

@InsightChange Tbh, I’d say Vautour was more straightforward than GW, the latter seems to have learned how to behave better with age, also seems to run better whenever he has a lead
English

@aobrienfansite @MaybeSoYouThink Also think ground a factor on where they went… PR wins all on ground with rain in it, Doncaster was cutting up even if race result says good, Gstaad form on faster surface
English

@MaybeSoYouThink
Gstaad 9/2
Puerto Rico 18/1
🤣🤣🤣🤣
It was obvious to me both horses have course form Gstaad at Newmarket & PR at Paris
I always take Aidan's classic plan comments with a pinch of salt learned that a good while ago

English

@ciaranodeorain Yep, I’d say GW is the more straightforward and reliably brilliant, but when he was locked in V really had that rare ability to take good horses out of their comfort zone when cruising and then still accelerate again… two exceptional horses
English

@InsightChange Yeah, it’s always hard to know with Vautour given his career was tragically cut short, might’ve been the most aesthetically pleasing jumper of a fence that there ever was
