Here's something I wrote on who's more important: the sire or the dam? @bealanchapaill/sire-versus-dam-fb876ffddb24" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@bealanchapail

Here are the top 20 jumps sires so far this season by the number of runners they have had in Britain and Ireland Have ranked them against the other Top 50 sires in terms of what the results of their progeny in graded races look like when scaled by their number of runners

@ciaranodeorain What you mean to say is how remarkable it is for any British trainer to dislodge Nicholls and Henderson from the top spot. Nothing surreal about it. Hard work, great placing and attracting the owners previously loyal to the big 2. Magnificent trainer.

Somewhat surreal is the fact that Dan Skelton has already surpassed his total prize money from each of the last two jumps seasons and yet Noel Meade has won the same number of G1s in Britain as Skelton this season

FORMER BALLYDOYLE RESIDENT ADELAIDE RIVER NOW WITH JOSEPH O'BRIEN Adelaide River, a talented son of Australia, showed real class as a three-year-old while under Aidan's care at Ballydoyle. He placed in two prestigious Group 1 contests: the Irish Derby and the Grand Prix de Paris. After a stint in Australia where he raced eight times and scored two victories, the horse has now returned to Ireland and joined Joseph O'Brien's yard. Joseph reports that Adelaide River has settled in very well. An early-season target could be the Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot, a race that suits his profile..

@RichyShea @proudy27 Think they want to keep the horse to left-handed tracks Thought the Scottish National would be a better race for him than Mildmay

Something that might have gone under the radar is that the BHA handicapper left Jango Baie on 167 (They thought Gaelic Warrior ran to 176 while the RP had them at 174 and 182 respectively) That might be a nice enough mark for the Coral Gold Cup next season

@cheltenhamchap Possibly although it would have to be the Bowl instead of Punchestown because taking in the GC, the Bowl, and the Punchestown GC is a near-impossible task

@ciaranodeorain @RichyShea I don't think he has the tactical speed for any real top race and the Gold Cup trip probably stretches him too. Wendigo for the Hennessy off 147.

@ciaranodeorain @RichyShea Agree, i don’t think Kempton is his track. I’d imagine the Betfair is high on the list as is something like the Cotswold Chase. I’d take him to Ireland at Christmas if he was mine but can’t see Nicky doing that.
