I just can’t be mad at taking a WR in Round 5 after taking 3-straight defensive players. Kendrick Law: 1. Has a clear immediate role going on kick return & being the gunner. Kick return is a very underrated role now in the NFL & one the Lions got zero impact in last year. Now you have Law & Dortch. A fairly big upgrade IMO from Raymond (who was good at punt return, although not as good as Dortch, but just flat out not good at kick return) and Jacob Saylors who was just bad at kick return. 2. He plays a position where 4 to 5 guys can be out there on any given snap. You need good WRs & most teams believe in taking 1 per draft. He’s better than Dominic Lovett. 3. It’s the end of Round 5. You’re done assuming anything at that point. The Eagles just drafted an FCS QB. I’m not going to complain at this stage at least taking a guy with a role & plays a position that will have him on the field. 4. He’s the immediate Greg Dortch replacement. You get both this year, which is a benefit & he can also learn from the vet, but now you won’t need to resign Dortch if this pick pans out.

@FueledByMotown @js052190 Dude he was a 7th round pick not a yth but regardless, fliers are not wastes ever for 6th rounders. Most do not even make the roster in year one.

@js052190 he was a sixth rounder last year and never really got on the field yet, maybe they do move on from him, but that would mean he didn’t do anything in practice last year to show them he should even be on the team (which would feel like a huge waste of a pick)

Because an LDS prophet once decried the overly litigious culture of the United States, anti’s are pretty sure the church shouldn’t ever sue anyone. That’s like saying if you decry humanity’s constant state of war, there’s never a just cause for you to go to war. Yes, we are in a fallen world. Things are far from ideal. I’ve been thinking about this type of Detroit Lions draft for a week or so — a scenario where they hold off on offensive tackle early and lean heavily into defense. You come away with two different types of edge rushers — Keldric Faulk and Malachi Lawrence — to deploy with D. J. Wonnum opposite Aidan Hutchinson. Then a green-dot, instincts-driven LB in Keyshaun Elliot to compete for early-down WILL duties, a true NT run plugger in Albert Regis behind Tyleik Williams, and a high-IQ former walk-on safety in Michael Taaffe. Round it out with a competitive swing OT in Aamil Wagner, a Y-TE blocker in Will Kacmarek, a big-bodied downhill runner in Adam Randall, and a scrappy press-man nickel in Avery Smith. A majority of these players check strong character boxes as well.

In the 5 drafts of Holmes and Campbell, there have been 36 Picks. 13 have been “hits” 14 have been “misses” & 9 have just been “Decent” They average 1 “Miss” for every 1 “Hit” So the bar for “greatest Gm in the in Lions history” is average 😂

@InsightDen @LionsSyndicate Rakestraw for now is definitely a miss he had an injury history in college & has been injury prone so far we barely asked him to play in 2024 & he had 4 injuries, Frazier barely played & still got a couple penalties I didn't mention Houston vaki is a solid special teamer thats it

As an Ex-Mo myself, I agree with this sentiment. Luckily I now know the real Jesus and the real gospel. There are still moments where I have to unwind the Mormon speak used for Christian terms, but I’m making progress on that front.

@lowkeylit01 @LionsSyndicate How on earth are 5th-rounders considered misses, a 6th rounder (Houston was a 6th rounder). The jury is still out on Rakestraw and Vaki as well..... Frazier was great last season, not sure how you can view him as a miss at all.
