According to UKIMC and FMO, raising awareness of grooming gangs, child exploitation, rape and coerced religious conversion is “not conducive to community cohesion” and such events “appear to be targeting particular sections of the community to create fear and division”.

Did you know that in 2023, organisations including the UK Indian Muslim Council and the Federation of Muslim Organisations publicly objected to Hindu community events aimed at raising awareness about child grooming and coerced religious conversion. Instead of supporting such awareness seminars, according to them, raising awareness of child grooming and sexual exploitation was “not conducive to community cohesion” and accused the organisers of creating “division”. Communities affected by grooming have spent over two decades educating families, protecting young people, and amplifying survivor voices where institutions failed. It is quite shocking that UKIMC and FMMO would ever object to such awareness campaigns. Despite objections, more than 30 awareness events were held across the UK in 2023 alone, and the work continues today. To those who oppose such noble initiatives; - Raising awareness about child protection should never be controversial. - Safeguarding children must come before religious sensitivities. - Honest conversations are essential for real community cohesion. #ChildProtection #Safeguarding #CommunityAwareness #ProtectChildren #GroomingGangs

Peterborough’s Hindu community is facing the loss of its only temple and community hub after the New England Complex was approved for sale by the council, despite over a decade of negotiations toward community ownership. For more than 40 years, Bharat Hindu Samaj has served as a centre for worship, culture, education, and interfaith engagement. Community leaders say the decision raises serious concerns about religious freedom, transparency, and equal treatment of faith communities. This is not just about the property; it is about the right of a community to practise its faith independently and preserve a vital place of worship. Peterborough council must provide an alternative venue for the Hindu community to come together and practice their faith. #Peterborough #HinduCommunity #ReligiousFreedom #BritishHindus

During legal proceedings linked to commentary following the 2022 Leicester attack on Hindus, Mohammed Hijab brought a case against Douglas Murray and The Spectator, a case he ultimately lost in the High Court. The director of the UK Indian Muslim Council, Mohammed Owaise Kolia, attended court in support of Hijab, and material produced by the organisation was submitted as evidence but dismissed by the judge, deeming it “worthless”. Hijab was judged to be an “Islamist supremacist” and a bigot who showed “contempt for Hindu teachings” - this is the type of person whom the UKIMC supports. The ruling raised serious questions about credibility, accountability, and the narratives surrounding the violence targeting Hindus during the Leicester disturbances of August–September 2022. #Leicester2022 #BritishHindu #LeicesterRiots #HindusUnderAttack @spectator @DouglasKMurray @RupertLowe10 @TRobinsonNewEra @RobertJenrick @CJBdingo25 @daveatherton @AmyMek @Telegraph @thetimes @BBCNews @SkyNews @Independent @GBNEWS @BBCLeicester @leicslive

From late August to late September 2022, Hindus, their homes, cars and Hindu temples in Leicester were targeted and attacked by Islamist mobs. Violent attacks and vandalism of homes over 3 consecutive nights on the 4th, 5th and 6th of September 2022 left the Hindu community in Leicester afraid for their safety. What followed were two weeks of false narratives and disinformation being filed against innocent Hindus by radical Islamists. Rumours were spread on social media, and violence was incited against Hindus in Leicester. Here is a breakdown of the false claims and facts. #leicesterriots #LeicesterViolence #HindusUnderAttackInUK #Islamists #BritishHindus @BBCLeicester @Leicestermedia @leicslive @leicspolice @ITVCentral

Hindu community and groups unequivocally reject the so-called “Independent” SOAS inquiry report The so-called “independent” SOAS inquiry into the 2022 Leicester violence has now concluded, and its report has been published. From the moment it was announced in 2023, the inquiry was unequivocally rejected by large sections of the Hindu community due to serious concerns regarding its necessity, composition, and impartiality. First, the UK Government had already initiated an official independent inquiry into the Leicester violence. There was no reason for SOAS to launch a parallel inquiry. Why did SOAS feel the need to hold its own inquiry? Concerns were further heightened by the backing of organisations such as MEND and 5Pillars - raising serious doubts from the outset. Second, significant doubts surrounded the individuals and institutions associated with the inquiry. Funding from George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, alongside the appointment of panel members such as Suresh Grover and Chetan Bhatt, both of whom had publicly attributed blame to Hindus prior to the inquiry’s commencement, undermined confidence in the panel’s impartiality. Notably, Suresh Grover of The Monitoring Group appeared in an interview conducted by Majid Freeman, a central figure accused of spreading misinformation during the unrest, where allegations against Hindus were made without any evidence. Finally, these factors led Hindu organisations and community representatives, not only in Leicester but across the United Kingdom, to boycott participation in what was a predetermined conclusion rather than an independent inquiry. The panel’s composition and its backers meant that SOAS’s inquiry lacks integrity, balance and fairness. youtube.com/watch?v=J8HbNH… Former Indian ambasador to Hungary Gauri Shankar Gupta says of the SOAS Leicester riots report that he has seen many such inquiries which are always designed "to denigrate the Hindu community and particularly India because India is a rising power and these countries are unable to assess India independently. They prefer to look down on India," he says. "It was funded from Soros foundation known for anti-India approach. George Soros comes from Hungary and has been banished from Hungary. When he funds an inquiry like this, he would have already decided the blame would be put on Hindus and not anybody else." As for Hindus boycotting the inquiry, he says "this was not an independent inquiry commission since it was funded by Soros foundation, it cannot be independent. It should have been funded by UK govt so I don't give any credibility to this report. Secondly 50,000 Hindu people boycotted the inquiry."

For over 20 years, the Hindu and Sikh communities have been quietly doing what institutions failed to do: educating families, safeguarding children, and raising awareness about grooming and coerced religious conversion. Today, these grassroots seminars and nationwide campaigns, led by groups such as the Sikh Awareness Society and the Hindu Support Network, continue with one simple goal - keep our children safe. Community vigilance saves lives. Education empowers families. Silence helps predators. Please share to amplify this message. Protect children. Support survivors. Demand accountability. #groominggangs #groomingganginquiry #hindu #sikh #britain @RupertLowe10 @SuellaBraverman @RobertJenrick @KemiBadenoch @Nigel_Farage @Telegraph @thetimes @GBNEWS @Independent @BBCNews @SkyNews @ClaireCoutinho @elonmusk @TRobinsonNewEra
