Community empowerment is a key aim for @scotgov. It was great to see an example of a local group taking power of local assets for their community benefit and supporting the local economy. @InspireAray purchased the pier using £121k from the @scotgov backed Scottish Land Fund.

First Minister @HumzaYousaf met community group @InspireAray to see ongoing work to regenerate the local pier, part of wider transformation plans. The group purchased the pier in July 2023, supported by £121,374 from @scotgov supported Scottish Land Fund. gov.scot/news/empowerin…

Scottish Government ministers will visit Inveraray on Mon. 2nd October as @scotgov Travelling Cabinet programme resumes. The Cabinet will meet at Inverary Parish Church before holding a public discussion in the Inverary Inn to hear about local issues ⬇️ ow.ly/uGhm50PNVbC

We will still be available on the 10th at Nicoll Hall from 19:00-20:00 for a question and answer session with representatives of Inspire Inveraray, for any of the membership who may be unable to accommodate the schedule change. 3/3

The purpose of this special meeting is to update the membership on the topic of the sale, the next steps of the pier project, and allow the membership to ask questions about the pier project, progress, or next steps.  2/3
