Thanks to all of our staff and volunteers for coming out today in this weather! What a great opportunity to test the effects of rain on geophysical techniques.

It’s been fantastic to be involved with @nationaltrust on the largest geophysical survey they’ve ever commissioned. We’re particularly pleased to have been able to substantially enhance our understanding of the 4th largest city in Roman Britain & the archaeology surrounding it

We also welcome back our friends at Diggit Archaeology, @MagSurveys, and @SUMOGeoSurveys, who provide essential services to the world of archaeology.

Residents of Northstowe and nearby villages teamed up with @CambridgeUnit and @MagSurveys to try and locate the hidden Royal Observer Core Post at the former RAF Oakington site which is being transformed into Northstowe new town. They had a great time investigating! #Northstowe

We recently held our annual Magnitude staff Halloween Party which gets bigger and better each year. Fabulous🎃🐈‍⬛💀

We recently held a MacMillan Coffee Afternoon.  The event was a huge success and we raised a total of £137.  We look forward to holding our next event for Charity some time soon!

We are back @ntstourhead for Day 2 of our #FestivalOfArchaeology Youth Weekend. Today it's the turn of Youth Leaders. We have our @YAC_CBA leaders, @Girlguiding leaders, the local home-school network and a community arch 🎉🎉 Our first group are back out with the brilliant @MagSurveys team!

Well it's been a bit wet @ntstourhead but we had a fantastic day with our young participants. We dug, surveyed, explored Stourton House, maybe found the lost castle, made lego, ate lots of food and got muddy 🎉🎉🎉 Huge thanks to the site staff and @MagSurveys 🤩

We're starting with GPR - how does it work....

It might be raining here @ntstourhead but it's not dampening our spirits. Our #Youth Weekend is off to a great start with 3 groups doing 3 activities. Group 1 are out with @MagSurveys ready to set out our grid and have a go at #geophys. We've got res, mag and GPR!!!!

It's been wonderful to see the translation of architectural drawings into real, dynamic spaces, now that we are using our new premises. Here's Reporting Officer Hannah Brown running collaborative drop-in reporting sessions, offering training and advice on kilns and ploughing!
