This is actually documented behavior: YouTube's "initial push" algorithm tests every Short against a small audience sample. If the first viewers don't engage fast enough → suppressed. Reupload = new test batch. Hack: Post timing matters. Your audience's most active hour = fresh eyeballs = better initial signals.

I’ll never understand YouTube. I post a short, and in 5 hours I has 4 views. I delete the video, reupload it and in 20 mins it has over 350.
