@adykhan93 No, I always felt an affinity for the character, since his name was taken from one of my Little League coaches in Houston. You'll recall in "I Married Marge," the couple before Marge and Homer at the casino wedding chapel was Cletus and Aline (one of my aunts).

@Joshstrangehill @matzemachtfaxen Near as I remember, we came up with it in the room, and what sold it was the follow-up line about how it's not really all that clever. Don't think the vague similarity to "Beatles" and fact that there's no B-sharp key on a piano had anything to do with it. Important stuff!

@matzemachtfaxen Well beyond it sounding like the musical note B sharp and the phrase "Be sharp"? And that it's also kinda like the Beatles? I don't think so BUT that's a good question for @Interbang1Jeff, the writer of the brilliant "Homer's Barbershop Quartet" and the show's resident music man.

So, for years, there have been Simpsons jokes/lines people misunderstood or misheard, like The Great Hank-Scorpio-"Yes Once"-Goodbye-To-A-Shoe Debate and "Carhole". What have you misunderstood or never got? List them in this thread & I or other Simpsons folk'll try to answer.

@WonderedAlways Doesn't stand for anything. Sometimes streets are just letters of the alphabet, like on New York's lower east side. Thought it was funny that everybody was taking pictures of an unremarkable intersection, though come to think of it not much is happening at Hollywood and Vine.
