Seek discomfort… For where you are most comfortable is when you are at your most vulnerable. Sometimes pick the path less traveled even though it is not in your comfort zone. The best decisions I’ve made were always decisions made when I was most uncomfortable.

@alienafra You would be surprised by what people fear. If not then it is just a senile man’s ramblings. If you were told by multiple patients then I would say something is wrong, but a single guy telling you that you should toughen up. I probably wouldn’t worry about it much.

i was once told by a patient to “toughen up and be strong” when all i did was nicely ask if i can observe his procedure, he was my dads age and was advising me to not “be afraid” which caught me so off guard because i asked confidently but my tone is a bit subtle regardless-

@alienafra The man more than likely was a bit afraid of the procedure. So to amp him self up he told you to toughen up, to not look weak in front of you and his wife.

It makes me question if my voice makes me get perceived as one who is shy and afraid which is quite contrary to who i am. Anyways, his wife was there and she was so cute, she kept on yelling at him because he was ranting to my friend and I throughout the procedure

Okay why am i seeing tweets of girls being shocked over horrid twitter dm interactions then posting it, when they are willingly replying to sickening vulgar message requests? Well yes they wont be moral with your reply in shunning their speech, just dont accept their awful req!!

You can see how suffering is grace.. because taking it backwards.. it shows you where your mind is clinging. My goal now is to have the same sense of grace as Ram Dass.
