I think Florence Pugh is the best choice to play Cathy but the problem is to make Cathy sympathetic. There is nothing redeemable about her. She was born pure evil and she would be the first one to say so.

Haven't read northanger abbey yet but mansfield park just isn't a good book. It's boring with a bland protagonist and her equally bland cousin/love interest. The Crawfords carry hard but aren't interesting enough to save that book.

Tbf none of the adaptations have tried to be book accurate. Even the 1978 version which is the most faithful, makes big changes in terms of characterization.

Wuthering Heights is basically unfilmable. None of the attempts so far come anywhere close. The best is Laurence Olivier in 1939, as it's more like a stage play and thus removed from the book. Please stop, and film something else. If you're interested in the story, read the book.

The problem wasn’t Fionnaworld itself being inherently uninteresting by the way, it’s that viewers don’t want a love square to consume most of the story. This isn’t Hannah Montana. Sweet Spot was also a one episode conflict dragged across 8. Fionnaworld could’ve had so much more
