Her biliary drain stopped working, causing bile to back up again. The Interventional Radiology team is ready to intervene, but they must wait until her INR drops sufficiently to proceed safely. Until then, we’re in another painful waiting game, hoping and praying her condition remains stable. Physically, Yolanda continues to fight with a courage that humbles me every single day. But this battle isn’t just physical. Last night, after several days of one stressful event after another, we both finally broke down. We cried together. Sometimes the weight of the uncertainty, the constant hospitalizations, endless lab work, difficult decisions, sleepless nights, and the fear of what tomorrow might bring becomes overwhelming. As many of you know, I’m Yolanda’s full-time caregiver. Every day is spent coordinating doctors, medications, procedures, insurance, hospital visits, and trying to hold everything together while watching the love of my life fight for hers. The financial strain continues to grow as well. Medical bills, prescriptions, travel, missed work, and everyday obligations don’t stop because cancer entered our lives. If anything, they continue to accelerate. Yet through it all, Yolanda refuses to quit. And neither do I. We’re once again asking for your prayers. Please pray that her INR comes down quickly so the Interventional Radiology team can safely restore her biliary drain, and that her liver remains protected.
