Linus Torvalds has made his stance on AI pretty clear: the Linux kernel isn’t against AI.
During a discussion on the Linux kernel mailing list, Torvalds said developers are free to use AI if it helps them. In his view, AI is just another tool, and what really matters is the quality of the work.
> “Linux is not one of those anti-AI projects, and if somebody has issues with that, they can do the open-source thing and fork it. Or just walk away.”
He also said AI has already proved its value:
> “AI is a tool, just like other tools we use. And it’s clearly a useful one.”
> “It may not have been that ‘clearly’ even just a year ago, but it’s no longer in question today.”
Torvalds also pushed back against people trying to stop others from using AI:
> “We’re not forcing anybody to use it, but I will very loudly ignore people who try to argue against other people using it.”
> “This is NOT some kind of ‘social warrior’ project, never has been, and never will be.”
Those maps are the least played for a reason If they put it up to a vote people would vote for Ancient or for AnuBis once again because the people complaining about Mirage and Dust are Here on Twitter, but the majority of people playing the game they want to play Mirage and Dust. That's just the reality.
So by Counter-Strike logic the next map gone is Anubis right? Even though they just re worked the middle part of the map. I wonder if Valve would ever just consider a vote system to remove the next map instead. Let the people vote with their steam account and it would verify in a way. Until everyone starts using alternate accounts. Stats via Leetify.

@mahersafadii@israelkayos@Dexerto I'm 100% sure you've watched an ad for a product and you think it's a person talking about the product. Let me tell you that it is AI and you can’t tell the difference. I have created multiple of these videos and it is almost impossible to tell.
@mahersafadii@israelkayos@Dexerto And it is better now than 4 years ago there is already models that can do images and video generation and you are watching without knowing
Of course, I'm gonna buy something that looks cool for me. If I think that looks cool enough for me to buy, I'm buying it. I don't care. That's how capitalism works, Ubisoft is a company, and all companies in capitalism are looking for profit. That's how the world works. If you don't like it, go to Cuba.
Even with all the backlash over its launch-day DLC, Ubisoft still made almost $1 million from that 85€ DLC.
According to Alinea Analytics, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has sold around 701,000 copies on Steam, making about $35 million from game sales.
On top of that, players spent nearly $1 million on optional DLC available on day one.
The game has received “Mixed” reviews on Steam due to microtransactions, but it seems people bought it anyway, and Ubisoft and other companies will continue this greed.
George Lucas says AI will make it 'much easier to make movies'
• Says rejecting it is like rejecting cars in favor of horses
• AI has risks, but he believes the tech will provide its own solutions
"There’s nothing you can do about it ... That’s progress, it’s the future"
