@The_Clermontian It became clever because he let the Freys take all the blame. Otherwise Lannister rule would be slowly threatened and their reputation tarnished. There are also supernatural consequences but Tywin does not believe in them.

Wow, the democratization of an anti-Communist dictatorship was economically damaging, while the democratization of Communist dictatorships led to economic miracles. Starting to think "dictatorship" may not be the key variable here.
EuroMaximalist 🇪🇺@euromaximal

There are no words to describe the economic failure that is Portugal. It is now almost as poor as Ukraine, a country literally at war. 50 years after a brutal dictatorship, you’d think an economic miracle would’ve followed like Poland and the Baltics. Total incompetence.

It's true that there was lots of political activity among diasporics in US during WWI—e.g., basic legal framework for Czechoslovakia was hammered out in Cleveland and Pittsburgh in 1915-18—, but it evolved during the course of the war as America's role in the conflict changed.

@FischerKing64 It goes further back than NORAID too. Czech-heritage lobbyists in America played a critical role in fomenting Czech nationalism around the time of the First World War. You can see here they were engaged in an information war with German-Americans too: academia.edu/11351686/CZECH…

In Sofia, a Bulgarian woman stabbed 4 Germans on public bus. In court, she said she did it for the society and stated that she does not like Germans. On LinkedIn, a claimed reason tied to her views is the belief that King Boris III of Bulgaria was poisoned by Nazi Germany.

The European right has been to tolerant of Orban. The Poles have rightfully become a laughing stock these last few years, but it is time we turn our sight to the coaler sitting in Budapest.

The United States has been the main sponsor of the EU for 60 years, and this “anti-American Europeanism” is a ridiculous façade that will collapse as soon as the Democratic Party governs America again.
Elisa Mosini 🇪🇺🇮🇹@MosiniElisa

The US is threatening a potential UK‑EU rapprochement if it negatively affects relations with Washington. They don't want a closer UK‑EU relationship, as they desire to keep Europe divided. For years, we Europeans fought among friends… but that will no longer happen. 🇪🇺🇬🇧

@Wandregisel98 The inconsistency lies with the leadership, who fearmonger about the far right pro-russians while supporting Orban.

'Erasmus right' represents a branch of the ' EUdissident right' whose sociopolitical activity can be described as an EU school debate club run by serious facefags intralexuals with 0 original thoughts and 0 capabilities for creating new fun, interesting and intense energy. (1/5)
