In 2009, Ahmad Reza Radan managed the Kahrizak detention center. One of the detainees was #AmirJavadifar. Amir was a poet and a student. Radan would whip him and the other youth in the detention center yard with a hose. They whipped Amir so much that he could no longer see. At night in prison, he would talk to his mother, who had passed away, and say, "Mom, I can't see." In the hot weather, they threw him in a bus with his hands tied to transfer him to Evin.
