The Gaza Famine is the world’s famine. A preventable, predictable famine.

Enough. Ceasefire. Open all crossings, north and south. Let us get food in, unimpeded and at massive scale.

It has taken an enforced famine on two million people, including one million children, for the British media and voices across the political spectrum to finally raise serious protest against Israel’s crimes. Palestine is not a question of left or right. It is a question of right or wrong.

Great letter & can be applied to coverage of Gaza. When you can scroll the entire front page of the Irish Times app [as I did this morning] & not see a single story on Gaza, that is a clear failure to inform the public of the scale & unprecedented nature of what is happening.

Excellent letter from Glenn Fitzpatrick in @IrishTimes I’ve long thought that pol corrs focus too much on their take on the politics of an issue, and not on the substance or the wider public mood. We are told what we think and how we will react - and it’s often wildly inaccurate
