@awr4645 @mehdirhasan Of those how many were members of the British military or police etc? I would also argue again that of those that were not, those killings were the overwhelming majority not carried out as an act of policy, unlike the British-backed loyalist death squads.

@awr4645 @mehdirhasan Sectarianism was used historically by the British state to create those divisions and that was recognised by republicans from the 1790s onwards. Even the use of the term protestant was not one used by republicans in my experience, as it played to that sectarianism
