Keaton Verhoeff would have been the #2 overall pick if he would have just stayed in the WHL this year.
He looked like a different player his D-1 year in the WHL. His decision making was exposed during his time in the NCAA
At this point, I would be shocked if he went #2 tho

Sabres coach Lindy Ruff liked his team’s start and play in the 1st and going into the 2nd, but their game slipped away from them then. On a separate note, he said Tuch needs to move his feet more. He’s pointless in this series and a -8.

@MyJeeZus973 @jp_gambatese @EvolvingHockey The problem is Luke's number is so out of whack with who he has been so far. If Luke was at 6.5 per this wouldn't be a problem. Nemec to me is not as good, but he's had bigger moments and flashes. They paid Luke like was a star, and he's not a star.

They came out flat tonight and fell behind 3–0 and they also let a 3–0 lead slip away in Game 1.
That said, good teams find ways to respond in difficult situations and that’s exactly what the Avs did.
They’re a very strong team that can adapt to different styles of play and make adjustments when needed.
It wasn’t a perfect performance, but they earned this one.

@vzmercogliano The addition of Kadri with a healthy Landeskog is in fact a team that's already won a Cup. Give them credit for getting that band back together. Dont think anyone saw the Avs being the most physical team by far in these playoffs (just like the last two Florida cup winning teams)

Wild were probably a top-three team in the league this year and came out flying to try and extend the series, but the Avs are just too good. Hard to see anyone beating them four times. A complete wagon.

@annikadevils I think the fact that Colorado was so much more physical than expected played a part here. Adding Kadri (and Landeskog) has made the Avs a much harder team to play. Minnesota needs to be deeper up the middle. Injuries hurt them but they need to be better up the middle

Brutal ending to the season for the Wild after a hot start to the game. The had one of the hardest roads and made for exciting hockey. Can’t wait to be in attendance at games next season!!

@StatBoy_Steven @worldhockeyrpt Verhoeff has extreme upside. It's just that he is so young that it scares me a little bit. Carels is also very young. I like his game a little bit more than Verhoeff but I get that people are high on what Verhoeff's ceiling could be.
