Thank you @IrishLandmark for my first visit in circa 6 decades to Blackhead Lighthouse tower. I was raised in it's loom light. May we be able to protect this amazing stretch of sea for all our community @TourismIreland visitors and our wonderful wildlife to enjoy @SIslandmageenrg

On our way home from two great days of learning and networking with friends at the @HTNmembers Conference in Newcastle. Hearing inspiring case studies like @Gateway_Studio and @StarAndShadow show how heritage is about the places and stories that shape who we are.

Today we are delighted to launch National Heritage Week 2023. We were privileged to be at the workshop of Tom McDonnell and James Collins, who are one of the last remaining traveller tinsmiths. Both James and Tom's skill embody the theme of National Heritage Week 2023 which is Living Heritage; celebrating our traditions and practises passed down through generations. National Heritage Week 2023 will run from 12th - 20th August. Events will be taking place all over the country. Visit heritageweek.ie to find events in your locality. #heritageweek2023 #livingheritage

Nice to see that more than half the land associated with Killee Cottage, Mitchelstown in Co. Cork is being managed for wildlife. Good thinking @IrishLandmark. #WildWebsWednesday
