There has been a spotlight on issues relating to Traveller and Roma communities in Ireland this week with the publication of an Opinion of the Advisory Committee of the FCNM. Ireland looks forward to constructive cooperation on this topic with the CoE.

This morning, Ambassador Doyle, in her capacity as Chair of the democracy group GR-DEM, chaired a panel at the @WFD on fighting the erosion of democracy 🗳️

Today our group of visiting students got to tour the Council of Europe, meeting representatives from the @coe, the @VeniceComm, and Ireland’s Permanent Representation to the Council, as well as attending sessions of the #CoE_WFD 🇪🇺

To mark 75 years of the @coe, law students from across 🇮🇪 are in Strasbourg this week to attend the 12th World Forum for Democracy ✨ To start off, the group are in Dublin today to learn more about the CoE and its role in protecting human rights, democracy, and rule of law 🇪🇺
