Showing how alias jump / movement keys (jump; worked the same) is consistent with the ; on the patch before today vs how it will work with it not working and everyone being on +jump and normal movement keys Pretty much we are showing the server ticks and registering time scale slower so you can see each tick. With alias / semicolon after commands, the jump will register the tick after we begin it. With subtick / normal “jump” command which is forced now with the update, it can register it on the first tick(like it happened in the video) or as long as 16 ticks we have had happen. In the video it was 9 ticks. This is not optimal

@andrewpprice Maybe increase gain, the first dial in from the top, on the mixer. Turn the level dial down on channel 1. The signal goes from top to bottom. If the input is really low you amplify all the imperfections.

Apparently my microphone is making a hissing sound but I don't know how to fix it. I use a Shure SM7B fed through a Yamaha MG10XU mixer, and usually increase the gain in post. What am I doing wrong?

@OnFireAnders I think starlink is selling reduced latency. Light speed in vacuum is about 300km/s while light speed in glass(fiber) is about 200km/s, which makes up for the longer travel distance higher up.

I'm asking because I was beginning to wonder if there could be a future where a company became big enough in gaming to try and actually bridge the regions with some kind of dedicated fiber line, probably financial madness to even think about, anyway, just one of those thoughts

The ping time between let's say EU and NA or say Australia and everywhere else, is that mostly down to round trip time and the speed of light, or would there theoretically be a way to improve beyond what we have today?
