Just a friendly reminder that the Irving Police Department is still conducting No Refusal DWI Enforcement into the wee hours of Wednesday morning. 🚨 Traffic Alert 🚨 We are working an incident in the area of Loop 12 North and State Highway 114. All eastbound and westbound lanes between Tom Braniff Dr. and Spur 482 are shut down. Please avoid the area and allow our officers to safely work the scene.

Our officers, along with the Irving Municipal Court, recently teamed up to host a Community & Coffee event at Sam Houston Middle School, Irving ISD, bringing together parents, students, and officers for an open and informative conversation. We truly appreciate the parents and students who took the time to attend and engage with us. Events like these help strengthen relationships and foster a better understanding between our department and the community we serve. During the discussion, officers shared information and answered questions on topics including: • Free programs available to youth and families • Parents’ rights regarding discipline • Criminal behavior and the real-life consequences that can follow • Youth referral programs designed to help guide kids toward positive paths Thank you again to everyone who attended and helped make this a meaningful conversation. We look forward to continuing to connect with our community!
