@virginmedia @g2irons It happens to us all. People claiming to be virgin media calling to offer packages and “ways to save money”. Probably fake but it’s bloody annoying and this is on top of having to negotiate your terrible call centre front end and wait ages to talk to anyone to actually save

@theficouple As much as I criticise the misinformation about the green or money saving credentials of electric cars and must point out the diesel and petrol cars also depreciate around 50-60% in the first three years depending on mileage and other factors. It’s why I buy 3-4 year old cars

When you bought the $50,000 Tesla Model Y to save on gas & maintenance. Then you learned: - It loses 20-35% of its value by year 3 - It loses 55-58% of its value by year 5 So by year 5 you lost $35,000+ of value? ....Congrats on saving ~$1,000/yr on gas.

@PageSix Lots of skin but honestly who cares because the Oscar’s aren’t about who can strip off, they are about glamour, class and talent. Well supposedly that’s what it’s about. A Dress that exposes too much is a lack of class

@virginmedia @MJBallx How about you offer those deals instead of us having to try and find them? Is it because you use interval marketing to charge the loyal subscribers people more and more? Is that why you make your phone system so hard to navigate?

@johnkonrad To get a no confidence vote you need a majority of MPs to vote for it. Since labour have a majority in the house that won’t happen. Simple enough for you?

@WindsorDebs The cracks are because rubber perishes in IV and with the heat cycles the tyres go through in use. It’s not potholes. That can cause bulges in the side walls but the rest of the pothole damage is on the rims, with deformations or failures.

MOT today. £39 to prove my car is roadworthy. £270 for two new tyres. Old ones have plenty of tread but have developed cracks through being constantly battered by potholes. Road Tax due 1st April £195. Diesel now £1.53. Roads not fit for purpose. Where is OUR money going??

@redrumlisa Because they have a monopoly and you can’t do anything about it. Why did ypu think it was? Usually the government reins them in but for the past few years they haven’t at all hence record fuel prices no matter what the price of oil. Same with natural gas

Why are Petrol prices going up? Do massive companies like the Supermarkets buy their stock at 10pm for delivery the next morning? Or do they buy their reserves well in advance and are now profiteering?

@ZacksJerryRig @onehandpolitics @mehdirhasan In Sweden they speak three languages by age 10 and that’s through their world class public schools. France and Germany also hit 3 languages by about age 12-14. UK is also terrible, we have a really weak education program for extra languages. Most kids are lucky if they speak 2.

@SERobinsonJr The network was fine without them so why bother. The enormous expense is temporary because the starlink satellites last between two and four years then they are dropped out of orbit to burn up. Poor use of money and resources

STARLINK: Virgin Media O2 has officially launched their Starlink powered O2 Satellite, the first satellite-powered mobile data service in the UK. The service uses Starlink Direct to Cell and O2’s licensed spectrum to deliver connectivity directly to mobile devices. It boosts UK landmass coverage from 89% to 95%. Per Stephanie Bednarek, VP of Starlink Commercial Sales, "Delivering Starlink Direct to Cell in partnership with Virgin Media O2 underscores the importance of keeping people connected no matter where they are. For the first time, millions of people across the UK will have access to data, voice and video through apps, and messaging in remote areas where terrestrial coverage isn’t available." It starts as a £3-per-month add-on, available initially on the latest Samsung smartphones, with plans to expand device and app support soon. Ultimate Plan customers will receive it at no extra cost in the near future.
