Yesterday the president of Loyola university called Isaac and I to tell us that we are receiving honorary degrees from Loyola! He called us fireman because we run towards the fire instead of retreating. I thought that was one of the kindest compliments I’ve ever received! 💜

I’m sitting here this morning thinking about what comes next for the American family in need and the anxiety reverberating through Soceity for many right now. I’m a happy insomniac, my doctor HATES that. I try to solve all my problems and few other peoples at three am.

Yesterday we delivered our 70,000th meal to our kids! We stood in the pouring rain and so did those Tulane students I talked with. They muscled boxes of food to cars sopping wet and didn’t complain a bit!

I just want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our volunteer delivery drivers this week. We stood in the pouring rain and our drivers delivered in the pouring rain to get our kids fed. It makes me emotional to see how dedicated our drivers are.
