I go to a state school that was badly affected by downgrades. Got 8 grade 9s at GCSE at a Requires Improvement secondary, my teachers at college assessed my grades as A*AAA. I was downgraded to AABB. Missed out on Oxford despite my hard work due to an algorithm #HonourTheOffer

Using an algorithm to calculate A-levels that deliberately undermines state school students is just another manifestation of the deeply unequal system we live in.
