Don’t get me wrong, I will forever be angry for the shambles that preceded this and how long it took them to make this call. The waiting around has definitely hugely disadvantaged a lot of people.

Yes!!! Government made the much needed right decision at last to trust teachers and honour CAGs. Hoping this means Oxford will accept me, even if I have to defer!!!!!!

@kindacromulent staff at my school spoke to admissions on Friday as well, unsure yet of what the outcome of that was but positive that they let my school make my case to them.

@kindacromulent That was what they said to me on results day, I hope as more information has come out abt the situation they’re changing to a more lenient policy.

This is great, but there are still many of us who are being left out. I don't know if my personal circumstances have been carefully looked at - I was told I was rejected because my standardised grades were too low to show clemency, before the University knew my CAG met the offer.
