We have written severally about the things Muslims have faced in Yorubaland, before this stage.
What isn't said enough is the amount of recriminations and insults Muslim women have endured for choosing to go to school.
This thing isn't hard. So many of these intolerant people utilise their offices to discriminate against others simply for their faith.
Muslims have had to get Circular from Federal Ministry of Education to make sure Universities don't hold classes, tests, labs or exams on Fridays 12-3pm.
Muslims have had to go to court to affirm the use of Hijab.
JAMB is trying to downplay the situation.
The centre should be banned for a year at least, or three years.
The overzealous officer (reportedly Civil Defense) should also be identified and her next promotion deferrred by at least a single Promotion Cycle.
If any Director, or Teacher does it, their next Promotion cycle should be skipped as a Disciplinary action.
Any lady wearing Hijab can easily be searched , by female officers.
The argument that students cheat with Hijab is stupid to say it mildly.
Examination malpractice exists in droves in several states like Enugu, Imo where Hijab-wearing students are not plenty.
There has to be consequences for this nonsense, that happens year-on-year.
And I really hope it's escalated. Maybe when their pockets and careers get hit because of discrimination, they will stop.
Mutual Tolerance and living must be enforced, either by common sense or by consequences.

UTME Muslim candidates are being denied entering exam hall because they have Hijab on. In 2026? Esther Oshikoya CBT Centre is a UTME accredited registration center in Ibadan. The centre reference number: UTME2017/30020010

A young man who doesn't own a phone went to the neighboring shop to check his exam results on the shopkeeper's mobile phone. Watch what happened...

This ball is now sold for 8k, we used to buy it for N400.

@Ishaqsule130 @StainAwa @AlfaShehu01 Ah omoh… who do you like this? Is hijab the only decent dress we have as Yoruba? I am not an advocate of indecency. So yeah! Wearing that big hijab shouldn't be allowed in the exam hall
English

@fact_checkerz @StainAwa @AlfaShehu01 Harassment has nothing to do with Islam. Islam commands respect, dignity, and protection for women. Any act of harassment in Makkah or anywhere is a violation of faith, not an expression of it.

English

@fact_checkerz @StainAwa @AlfaShehu01 Banning or discouraging hijabs under the guise of “security” or “decency” is not only unnecessary but discriminatory. I can't even argue with any longer since you classified dressing in hijab as not decent.
English

@Ishaqsule130 @StainAwa @AlfaShehu01 Nobody is being intimidated by your religion. Okay? Security-wise, I don't think such a dress should be allowed most especially in a youth-crowded environment like that. Don't be emotional. She can wear something more decent though but not that huge hijab.
English

@fact_checkerz @StainAwa @AlfaShehu01 I’m well relaxed, bro. Islam is my way of life, and covering the body is part of what Islam teaches, a practice that many cultures also embrace. So why should certain people be intimidated because they dress according to their religion in a country that gives freedom of religion
English

@Ishaqsule130 @StainAwa @AlfaShehu01 Guy, relax none of these religions originated from us. And if you look into it deeply with logic, you will realise that these religions are like the cultures and traditions from which they came. Most of the activities in Islam were already done before b4 Muhammad was born. I lie?
