I came across a post about a married woman who is currently learning tailoring as an apprentice. According to the report, she got to work just 15 minutes late, and her boss—also a woman—punished her by asking her to kneel for one full hour before she could start work. Honestly, this brought tears to my eyes 🥹 This is someone who could be working hard to support her family, yet she is treated this way. How can anyone be so heartless as to humiliate another woman like that over a short delay? Did the boss even consider her situation? She might be a married woman trying her best—taking care of the home, bathing the children, preparing meals, and still showing up to learn a skill. Yes, every workplace has rules, and discipline is important. But there should be room for understanding, empathy, and basic human respect. Punishing someone in such a degrading way is completely unacceptable. Let’s learn to treat people with dignity, no matter the situation. We all deserve respect. A Nigerian man has reportedly won a court case against his ex-girlfriend after sponsoring her education with the understanding that they would get married after graduation.
