BREAKING: The Muslim prayer room of Cafe Raha in Blackburn was fire bombed today, but thankfully, there was no synagogue nearby, so we're not bothering with a Cobra meeting x

@AdamJoseph But I don’t think he’s worth anything above £80m. I’m not even sure £80m is OK. But I guess with the competition out there, you really have to cough up that kind of money unfortunately.

Manchester United must sign one of their top CM targets - Elliot Anderson, Aurelien Tchouameni or Sandro Tonali. That #1 option to lead the midfield. Mateus Fernandes & Carlos Baleba should be the two who join alongside them. That's how this midfield rebuild gets done properly.

Manchester United should be pulling out all the stops & doing everything they can to convince Elliot Anderson to join the club this summer. They can't compete on what he & his agent will be offered by City, but he's that good you can't give up - make one last pitch this weekend.

@Ajuntament33 @I_amMukhtar I know. I’m surprised he didn’t get pulled on that. Surprised no one on the show, including Piers, knew about his background.

@I_amMukhtar He literally lived in Karachi for the first 15 years of his life. Another immigrant pulling up the drawbridge, just fortunate that his family had ££ and he was schooled at a tier 1 private school He is just an Anglophile to curry favour with the locals, shortening his name etx

Ben Habib's father is Pakistani, yet he keeps going on about the need for everyone to be "home-grown." When Piers Morgan challenged him on it, he denied ever saying "home-grown." Watch the clip. I've replayed it and slowed it down at the end.

@Utd__max10 Answer 07/08. It’s barely a comparison. One is a team in flux and the other is the finished article. Also, this is 05/06 - Van Der Sar being the key give away.

Yes, Starmer is awful but with potentially 5 PMs in 5 years, and two party politics fracturing, we’ve got to ask why we’ve become such a politically unstable country. Inequality and an economy that only really works for the 1% with a political system that selects only people who will uphold this system won’t end with Starmer. Unless a new PM has the guts to take on corporate interests we’ll be stuck in the same vicious spiral.

The UK personal allowance has been frozen at £12,570 since April 2021. That's the bit of your salary you keep before HMRC starts taking 20% off everything above it. In 2021, £12,570 was a reasonable tax-free bracket. Inflation since then has been roughly 25% cumulative, and the price of basically everything you actually spend money on has gone up — energy, rent, food, council tax, fuel. If the personal allowance had simply tracked inflation, it would now be closer to £15,700. Instead, the threshold sits exactly where it did when Sunak set it five years ago, and is locked there until 2030. The cost shows up everywhere except on your payslip. Every shop, every bill, every bit of your monthly budget feels tighter — while the threshold that's supposed to protect the first slice of your wages from tax just sits there at 2021 levels. The official line is that they 'haven't raised taxes.' They haven't needed to. Inflation does the job for them, every single year, until 2030.

Why is everything so expensive in this country? Just been into my local village butchers and bought 4 lamb chops. £14. That's double what they are in Aldi but they're twice the size of Aldi's so that's ok. But in my favourite restaurant in Los Gigantes, Tenerife, you can get 6 lamb chops, chips, salad and a carafe of wine for 13 euros. And they import the lamb from New Zealand too. Is it just because our energy costs, business rates and employment costs are so high or is there a lot of greedy profiteering going on here in the UK?

Leave the ECHR and repeal the Human Rights Act to secure Britain’s borders. Scrap green levies and ideological net zero targets to deliver cheaper energy. Hire 10,000 more police and increase stop and search to make our streets safe. Restore the two child benefit cap, and face-to-face PIP assessments to get Britain working. Increase defence spending by £50 billion, using savings made to the welfare budget to defend our country. Scrap the 3% interest added to Plan 2 student loans and get under 16s off social media to help young people. That’s what the Conservatives under @KemiBadenoch’s leadership would do.

If a Green candidate called for Jews to be melted down and used to fill pot holes, Keir Starmer would call a Cobra meeting and proscribe the Green Party, but a Reform candidate can say that about Nigerians and silence. This is what we mean when we say there is a racism hierarchy.
