Attended this morning the REPS Community Leadership Forum event led by Diverse City Development Trust held at St Mary's Church in Sheffield. Overall, it was a great event. We would like to thank Shahida Sadique (CEO) & her team of Diverse City Dev. Trust for thier efforts & work.

ISRAAC , in partnership with Porter Brook Medical Centre, delivered a Child Health session focused on children’s physical and mental wellbeing for parents, carers, and the wider community.

Invited to concert in aid of ISRAAC Centre by Sheffield Lord Mayor Safiya Saeed in the Town Hall. The concert was led by Hallam Sinfonia & Steel City Choristers. Well attended including dignatories from Master Cutlers Keith Jackson, Baroness Anette von Kohorn & Steven von Kohorn.

ISRAAC Centre hosted MULTI-GENERAL PLACES event organised and led by Glass House from London & Leo Care Senior Lecturer of School of Architecture and Landscape University of Sheffield. The event was aimed at students of Sheffield university & local young people attended as well.

📸 Somali Community Visit to Sheffield Town Hall On Friday, 31 October, ISRAAC Community Centre organised a special visit for members of the Somali community in Sheffield to the Sheffield Town Hall, where they were warmly welcomed by the Lord Mayor of Sheffield and her son. This visit celebrated ISRAAC’s strong partnership with the city and its ongoing role as the Lord Mayor’s chosen charity. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the Somali community’s contributions to Sheffield’s rich cultural and civic life. ISRAAC Chairman Adam Yusuf and Treasurer Professor Geoff Green represented the organisation at the event, sharing insights about ISRAAC’s mission, projects, and its collaboration with the Lord Mayor to promote inclusion and community development across Sheffield. ISRAAC Somali Community held a series of workshops in Sorby House looked at Somali Leadership Ecosystem in the North East of Sheffield highlighting importance of informal network that exists between local Somali businesses professionals, faith leaders/young people & the community

The education fair was a resounding success, achieving its aim of inspiring and empowering young people. The event provided a platform for open discussions on youth attainment and aspirations, sparking meaningful conversations about the future of the next generation. Attendees had the invaluable opportunity to hear from an incredible panel of Black professionals representing a range of fields, including technology, medicine, education, and accounting. Their insights, experiences, and encouragement are certain to leave a lasting impact, helping young attendees to visualise new possibilities and feel motivated to pursue their goals with confidence. A heartfelt thank you to Cllr Maleike, Mr Ziggy Moore, Dr Abdifatah Mohamud, Dr Emma Blake, and Mr Mohamed Hassan, Mr Jama Mohamud Jama for their time, wisdom, and inspiring contributions to the event. This impactful event was organised in partnership with WeDiverge Sheffield, whose collaboration and support were instrumental in bringing the vision to life.

Dr Qizhi Huang of DERA held a workshop at Sheffield University regarding prostate cancer in particular working with black men who are disproportionately affected by the condition more than men of other races.  The event was informative discussed by people with lived experience
