Hezbollah never stopped violating the ceasefire and attacking Israeli civilians. Hezbollah attacks Israelis with drones, rockets, anti-tank missiles. Families are forced into shelters. Communities live under constant threat. Children grow up to the sound of sirens. No country would allow this to continue.

In the past 48 hours, Hezbollah killed 5 israelis and injured 12. These are Hezbollah's systematic violations of the ceasefire on 17-18 June alone: • 63 rocket attacks • 7 explosive UAV attacks • 2 IED attacks • 1 missile attack • 1 infiltration attempt by 5 terrorists

Dozens of sirens today warning of incoming rockets or attack drones fired by Hezbollah from Lebanon. Israeli civilians cannot be allowed to live under such conditions.

Israelis living on Kibbutz Sasa and other towns & villages on the border with Lebanon have had a tough time and responded with remarkable resilience. Israel will protect our citizens and ensure both normalcy and security.

Hezbollah's daily attacks on Israeli civilians while embedding its terror infrastructure inside civilian life is a violation of the ceasefire. Launchers hidden in schools. Weapons stored in children’s bedrooms. Terrorists evacuated in ambulances. Military compounds operating from hospitals.

This is an unprecedented large-scale humanitarian international effort, under the responsibility of the Board of Peace's CMCC. Gaza is receiving aid massively, every single day. Hundreds of trucks entering. Millions of meals produced. Medical supplies delivered.

This Yom HaZikaron feels different. Last May, our embassy family joined the ranks of bereaved families of victims of terror attacks. Our friends, Sarah Milgrim z"l and Yaron Lischinsky z"l, were murdered outside an event for young diplomats. They were at their prime, in love and in their professional element. This memorial day, and every day, we stand with their families, joining them in mourning. Their absence is everywhere - in the empty seats where they should be, in the conversations we still expect to have, in the spring days they should have been here to enjoy. Equating a sovereign UN member state with a jihadist terrorist organization is yet another proof of the UN Secretary-General’s failure. The UN has failed to disarm Hezbollah and failed to uphold its own Security Council Resolution 1701.
