TO @PeterObi: You did the right thing this morning. Walking out of the ADC took courage. It also took clarity. You named what most Nigerians have been afraid to name — that the same state and its agents that captured Labour Party in 2023 captured the ADC in 2026. Same machine. Different jersey. That is the truth. And you said it out loud. For that, you deserve commendation. Not endorsement — commendation. Because you took a step in the right direction, and steps in the right direction are rare in Nigerian politics. Now keep going. Let APC and ADC split the Caliphate vote between themselves. Let the men who built this cage fight over who gets to sit on the throne. They have the same owners. They will end with the same outcome. You have a different road open to you now. The road of the people. Millions of displaced Nigerians have no voice. Give them one. Make sure they have a vote. Millions are crying for self-determination. Give them a real pathway. Put it on the ballot. Call for a new constitution. Not an amendment. A new one — written by the people, ratified by the people. The 1999 document is a colonial contraption that mentions Sharia 165 times and Christianity zero. It is the scaffolding the Caliphate stands on. Tear it down. Call for a free 2027 election under international supervision. Not INEC. Not the agents who hounded you out of two parties. The world. Do not compromise. The world is watching. Be the champion Nigerians need to end this 66-year nightmare. Sir, you have left the machine. Now join the people and help dismantle it. #EarthShaker

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

This whole thing is surreal. Atiku Abubakar — banned from the United States for a decade for laundering $40 million, his fourth wife caught taking $1.7 million in Siemens bribes, now running for president with the Butcher of Kaduna on his ticket — just hired a Washington fixer. The fixer's name is Karl Marx. I am not making this up. The man Atiku just paid $1.2 million is legally named Karl-Marx Edward Ikemefuna William George Okeke-Von Batten. FARA filing. April 1, 2026. Look it up. A Nigerian-American Republican fundraiser named after the father of communism. Hired by a longtime Caliphate-aligned Northern strongman. To lobby a Trump White House that just slapped Nigeria with a Country of Particular Concern designation. Six installments. Twelve months. $1.2 million. Atiku didn't even sign it himself — sent an ADC officer to put pen to paper. You don't hire Karl Marx if you have a clean record. You hire Karl Marx because Caliphate connections won't get you a meeting with Marco Rubio. Now — what this means for the narrative war. Tinubu has DCI Group. Nine million dollars. Atiku has Karl Marx. One-point-two million. Two wings of the same Caliphate. Two competing fixers. Same Washington game. For political tourists, this looks like a real fight. APC versus ADC. Hatchet versus hatchet. For the people on the ground — it isn't. Watch what Atiku attacks. Fuel subsidies. The economy. Tinubu's competence. Tinubu's mandate. Watch what he never attacks. The genocide. The Sultan. The Middle Belt killings. The Sharia constitution. The IDP camps Abuja denies exist. The blasphemy lynchings. The Catholic schoolchildren still missing in Niger State. He cannot. The moment he does, his Northern base evaporates. So he won't. Ever. Which means the entire ADC-versus-APC narrative war is a fight over surface things only. Subsidies. Inflation. Cabinet appointments. Who gets the contracts. For the people fighting actual darkness in Nigeria — the IDPs, the Plateau widows, the Middle Belt pastors, the Igbo families still mourning Kanu — the difference between Karl Marx and DCI Group comes down to three questions. Who signs the checks. Who gets bashed online. Who gets snaps taken with Washington honchoes. That's the whole fight. The genocide doesn't get mentioned. The Sultan doesn't get touched. The constitution doesn't get rewritten. The displaced don't get counted. The Butcher of Kaduna stays on the brochure. We can watch with some grim entertainment as Karl Marx takes whacks at Tinubu over the next twelve months. It will be loud. It will trend. It will not change a single thing for the children buried at Yelewata. Real opposition doesn't need a fixer. Real opposition has the people. Atiku doesn't have the people. He has $1.2 million and Karl Marx. The Plateau widow can't afford a fixer. Neither can the St. Mary's parents. They don't need one. They need a free election, a new constitution, and self-determination on the ballot. That fight doesn't cost $1.2 million. It costs courage. #EarthShaker

BEING TEXT OF A PRESS CONFERENCE BY THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) HELD 1ST MAY, 2026 AT WADATA PLAZA, ABUJA ON THE OUTCOME OF THE SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT DELIVERED 30TH APRIL, 2026 Gentlemen of the press, distinguished members of our great party, and fellow Nigerians, We wish to first thank all Nigerians, particularly our loyal party members, who stood firmly by the party throughout these turbulent times. Your steadfastness and commitment to due process have kept the spirit of our great party alive. We are here today to set the record straight and address the deliberate distortions being peddled by one Kabiru Turaki, SAN, and his associates regarding the Supreme Court judgment delivered on the 30th of April, 2026. Let it be clear and unambiguous that the Supreme Court judgment of yesterday only nullified the illegal Ibadan “Convention” and dismissed the appeal filed by the Turaki-led purported National Working Committee for lacking in merit. This remains the sole substance of the judgment, contrary to the false narratives being circulated. The judgment did not uphold any suspension or expulsion of any officer of the party. The reason is simple: the issue of suspension or expulsion was never before the Federal High Court, let alone the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court. It was neither canvassed at the Federal High Court nor formed part of the questions for determination at any level of adjudication. The apex court addressed only the matter before it, which is the validity or otherwise of the so-called 15th and 16th Ibadan “Convention.” Accordingly, throughout the Supreme Court judgment, there was no mention whatsoever of suspension or expulsion of any party officer. It is also important to state that there has never been a vacuum, obstruction, or absence of leadership in our party that presupposes an interim take over of the administration of the Party by any authority. The leadership structure of the PDP remains intact, lawful, and fully operational under the able National Chairman, Hon. Abdulrahman Mohammed, and our indefatigable National Secretary, Distinguished Senator Samuel Anyanwu. Their positions remain duly recognized. What we are witnessing is a desperate attempt by a rejected group to twist the clear facts contained in the judgement of the Supreme Court in order to mislead the public and seek undeserved sympathy. I make it bold to say that the judgement is a public document which can be accessed by anybody to ascertain the content of the said judgement. The same individuals who disobeyed valid court orders to conduct the illegal Ibadan Convention have continued in their pattern of lawlessness by assembling again, even after the Supreme Court has spoken. Their actions only reinforce what is already evident: an agenda set out with the sole intention to destabilize the Party. The general public should now understand who is committed to the survival of the PDP and who has been working tirelessly to undermine it. On the issue of the purported takeover of the party by the Board of Trustees (BoT), or claims of summoning the National Executive Committee (NEC): there is no provision in the Party’s Constitution that grants the Board of Trustees the power to take over the leadership of the party or assume the functions of the National Working Committee. Most curious is the claim by Senator Adolphus Wabara, whose tenure as Chairman of the Board of Trustees had long expired even before the onset of this crisis. The only known legitimate leadership of the Party’s Board of Trustees is that led by Senator Mao Ohuabunwa. Senator Adolphus Wabara should retrace his steps from making statements on behalf of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) forthwith. Any such infractions within the Party will no longer be tolerated. We urge the public, party members, and the media to disregard the nuisance and propaganda of Sen Wabara and his cohorts, and rather be guided by truth and legality. We wish to reiterate that

🚨 Beware of Propaganda 🚨 Yesterday’s Supreme Court judgment only invalidated the Ibadan Convention. See channelstv.com/2026/04/30/sup… On Senator Sam Anyanwu and three others: the Court of Appeal last week upheld the one -month suspension issued at the PDP’s 608th NWC meeting on November 1, 2025. That suspension was not contested, and it lapsed on December 1, 2025. guardian.ng/politics/pdp-s… Upon its expiration, Senator Anyanwu and others were appointed into the Caretaker Committee on December 8, 2025. See dailypost.ng/2025/12/08/pdp… That committee worked toward the March 2026 Convention, which is recognised by INEC, with the current PDP leadership reflected on INEC’s portal today. See inecnigeria.org/political-part… I sincerely wish that all aggrieved members of our PDP family resolve matters amicably, while also wishing other political parties the very best in 2027 and beyond. The PDP will field candidates in the 2027 general elections and we shall definitely win a good number of seats. All the best Nigeria.🇳🇬 Senator Natasha H Akpoti Uduaghan Kogi Central

Press Release April 30, 2026 Assumption of National Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) @OfficialPDPNig by the Board of Trustees (BoT). It is with the utmost sense of duty and responsibility that the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) assumes leadership of our great party today, Thursday, 30th April, 2026 pursuant to the empowering provisions of the Constitution of the PDP (As amended in 2017). This constitutional intervention of the BoT is so as not to allow any leadership vacuum at the national level of our party following judgment of the Supreme Court. Sadly, the Supreme Court, today delivered an unpleasant judgment against our party in which it pronounced an invalidation of the 15th to 16th November 2025 National Convention of the PDP held in Ibadan, Oyo State, which produced the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee of our Party. While the Supreme Court invalidated the Ibadan Convention, it also in a unanimous decision of the five justices on the panel, upheld the suspension of Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Hon. Umar Bature, Kamaldeen Ajibade as National Secretary, National Organizing Secretary and National Legal Adviser respectively from the Party. The implication of today’s judgment by the Supreme Court is that all actions taken by Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Hon. Umar Bature and Barr. Kamaldeen Ajibade including the appointment of Abdulrahman Mohammed as Acting National Chairman, the composition of the National Caretaker Working Committee and the conduct and outcome of the March 29th, 2026 Convention in Abuja are illegal, null and ab initio void. The consequential invalidation of both the Abdulrahman Mohammed-led as well as the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki-led Working Committees directly places the statutory onus of leadership of our great party on the shoulders of the Board of Trustees (BoT) as the Second Highest Organ of the Party, pursuant to the express and unambiguous provision of Section 32 (5) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017). Against this backdrop, the BoT hereby immediately assumes responsibility of the national working leadership of the PDP as immediate constitutional remedial steps to foster genuine reconciliation, salvage, stabilize and return the party to good political health. In the light of the foregoing an emergency meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC), pursuant to the provisions of Section 31 of the Constitution of the PDP will be summoned to, among other things, appoint an Interim National Working Committee to take charge of the National Secretariat of our Party and pilot the affairs of the Party at the national level so as to meet all the timeline in the Electoral Act, 2026 and ensure that the PDP fields candidates and also emerged victorious in all elective positions in the 2027 general elections. Consequently, all staff of the PDP are hereby directed to resume at the National Secretariat of the Party under the leadership of the BoT ahead of the appointment of the Interim National Working Committee. The BoT commends the courage, effort and resilience of our governors, Governor Bala Mohammed and Governor Seyi Makinde, the National Assembly caucus, the National Ex-officios, the Forum of PDP State Chairmen and State chapters, the Youth and Women Wings and other organs and bodies in the PDP for standing strong for the party at this trying time. The BoT therefore calls on all leaders and members of the party to jettison all personal and group interests and come together as one family in the overall interest of our Party, democracy and the wellbeing of millions of Nigerians whose hope are anchored on the PDP. The PDP has suffered enough; the painful victims of this unfortunate episode is the Nigerian people. The time has therefore come for us to make sacrifices, sheathe our swords and embrace genuine reconciliations for lasting peace and chart a new course for our party. Signed: Senator Adolphus Wabara, Ph.D Chairman, BoT

The outcome of Supreme Court judgment on PDP crisis is as follows: 1. Nullified the Ibadan Convention by Makinde 2. Upholds the suspension of Samuel Anyanwu, thereby nullifying the Abuja Convention by WIke It means that neither of the Convention is valid in the eye of the law and none can hold claim of PDP.
