Given these clear legal realities: - How can Eritrean players who are documented as holding citizenship from other countries (such as European nations where many diaspora players were born) legitimately represent Eritrea in official CAF competitions? - What verification process has CAF applied to confirm that every player on the Eritrean squad holds valid, exclusive Eritrean citizenship as required? - Why has the Eritrean team been permitted to participate in the match currently being held in Morocco without apparent confirmation that all players meet the strict citizenship criteria? This situation raises serious questions about compliance with CAF and FIFA eligibility rules, potential irregularities in player registration, and the integrity of African football competitions. It also undermines fair play and the principles of national representation. I respectfully urge CAF to: 1.
