@puchosantillana There's more than 4 good PS3 exclusives no matter what genre one likes, and a PS3 is probably cheaper than you think to buy (especially if one doesn't care about its quality, just that it works)

@DreddSnail Idk allegedly they don't but my PS1 from 1997 still has it working perfectly and I've never had an issue with any in general

@Italian347 Main issue is gonna be the disk drive itself, those notoriously don't last indefinitely, but the good news is you can just slap an hard drive or ssd and just copy the games over.

The genre that suffered this the most is License games.
A license game for the PS2 is the product of some guy being told "here's a big name franchise, do something lmao". Which can turn out horrible but also amazing

The PS1 sold 102.5m, more than the PS5 currently has. You cannot make the argument that it's purely gaming "going mainstream", it's larger now but not so cosmically
