@JoeHuttonn @SaintRob__ Yea I do get that, probably 4 of those were good chances. Lots of long shots, soft hedders. But if you look at the stats from our games and Swansea's games when he was manager they tell a similar story. I do agree the players need to do better, but his style all shots no goals.

Long tweet time. In my opinion Martin set us up pretty much perfectly to win the game. Score early then control the ball for the rest of the game, starving the opposition of chances whilst creating our own. The first half was a perfect example of this, we kept 82% of the ball and starved Rotherham of any chances. The players cost him today. Simple chances not being finished. We should’ve been 3-0 up by half time and sailing. Giving the ball back to the Rotherham goalkeeper for no apparent reason (against managers orders) and a lapse in concentration from three players and they score a worldie. That’s how quickly a game can change within seconds. Russell Martin can pick the team, give them instructions for all he wants, it’s not his fault if the players can’t put the ball in the net. His system allowed those chances to be created but poor finishing let us down. Under no circumstances should we be drawing that game however. Football is a game of tight margins, multiple big chances missed, lapses in concentration cost us today. For 75% of the game we executed the game plan perfectly, just couldn’t see it through. Just my thoughts, some will disagree who are well within their rights to, that’s just how I see it. If you swap this result and the result against Leeds the results will be viewed much more positively. I think we all would’ve taken 7 points from 9 this week. But these are the games you have to be winning to get promotion. #SaintsFC

@DuncanHolley It's worrying that we come out after hath time and look worse. Then a 3 man change, which is the sort of tactic you do when you're losing 3-0 and have nothing to lose. Not winning 1-0. And then to top it off the team goes to sleep yet another time this season and costs us.

This view won’t sit well with many but it is genuinely held. With Martin as our manager and Wilcox dictating our tactics, we are going to be a tedious boring team with little chance of being anything other than a mediocre, run of the mill, bunch of backward looking show ponies.

@boldgrey The problem was jack used to have a mistake in his game and a lot of people saw the mistake and discounted the quality. Vestergaard was a bit the same, but a move for him seems to have had the opposite effect as it has jack. I think he's got unfinished business at saints.

@Isango8 Very slim, you can only recall in Jan unless you have a recall clause in the contract and even if you have one of those both teams have to agree and the player then can't play in your first team. So very unlikely.

@ItchenNorth If it is possible then you should but it would all depend on a) the contractural terms and b) how switched on your execs are. What do you think your chances are?

@AtMyAgeTV We're glad to see him do well, the same as we're glad to see tella do well. Two players with other clubs driving up their value for us. It's just a shame he's doing it for you.

@SamSaints_ 🤣🤣 It sure would. Just feel like every move the club has made (bar signings) has turned into a disaster. The manager was a stupid risk, not signing a striker in the summer was a stupid risk and loaning to another bottom hath club now could turn out to be a bad call.
