I cannot believe nobody is talking about this.
They are handling these infected patients wearing PAINTERS OUTFITS for a highly lethal pathogen studied in high containment labs. At the very least, this is a BSL 3 (biosafety level) situation, which would imply precautions closer to Level B PPE standards i.e. a gasmask, hazmat suit and decon, not the bare minimum we're seeing here.
I’ll say it again: either this is mostly nothing and the threat is being exaggerated, or they actually believe it is serious and are failing to take the necessary precautions.
The only other explanation is incompetence, which is also entirely possible.

OK, like WTF. So you’re telling me there is a possible human to human transmission virus with a 30 to 40% fatality rate, and these guys are not wearing Level A hazmat suits? They are wearing the bare minimum. Level D. Basically what you needed to go to the gym during Covid. Either this threat is being wildly exaggerated, or the response is criminally unserious and they want this sh!t to spread. Because if they actually believe what they are saying, this level of PPE makes absolutely no sense.

@dukefan9207 @outbreakupdates Yes. Asymptomatic spread is more dangerous because generally you know to distance from people who are coughing, sneezing, or don’t look well. Misdiagnosis is equally as dangerous because it may inadvertently clear people who are contagious to return to normal activity.
