@theblockinator @sama @gdb It’s so annoying if they don’t fix it in a week or two I will just make a gpt wrapper and fix it myself.

@sama @gdb
There’s a UX issue in ChatGPT’s web app that becomes very noticeable in long conversations.
Even though the model supports large context windows, the interface starts lagging heavily after extended chats. Typing and scrolling become slow to the point of breaking the experience. If you need more details I can highlight this issue to you in a meeting.

The phone is supposed to be a great enabler. When did the apple say they want you to stay as long as possible on your iphone they just want you to buy an iPhone and that’s it. The actual addicting stuff is the applications on your phone that you choose and install. I just have to put that out there. I think people in the comments from my understanding aren’t really understanding what he’s trying to say. Apple is a productivity focused company yes at times I don’t like you know they make things expensive but since MacBook Neo launch at the price it is they really picked up their act.

@Polymarket So will the company now be named llama now given the metaverse is closed.

🚨 THE BIGGEST DATA HEIST IN HISTORY IS CALLED POKÉMON GO.
For 8 years, 143 million people walked the streets to catch a Charizard.
The reality? They were working for free.
Niantic just admitted that players' cameras scanned parks, storefronts, and sidewalks around the world from every angle.
The loot? A visual database of 30 BILLION real images.
It wasn't a game. It was the secret construction of the world's largest AI dataset.
Today, Niantic uses your Sunday strolls to sell visual navigation systems to delivery robots (without GPS).
No company, not even Google, could have paid a fleet of vehicles to do that.
You thought you were playing a video game; you were the volunteer subcontractor for global robotics.

Yeah, it’s honestly much better now. There are tons of tutorials on YouTube that teach you how to make your own circuit boards and program them you can just ask Codex or Claude to write the code for you. People might not believe it, but I’m being serious: every student is doing this. They focus mainly on the hardware first, and once that’s done, they let the AI tools handle the programming.

you know what? I will just stick to software.

lyv ⌘@wholyv
i am extremely pleased to announce that I have decided to never touch software ever again in my life. I am completely shifting my focus to electronics and I am gonna love every second of it.

@synthesis_md @grok explain which one of these in the thread is legit

They will fix it, trust me. I had a major issue when Apple removed the iPad split-screen drag feature in an update. You used to just drag a window to snap it in place, but that was gone. I emailed them and later it was fixed(probably not because of me maybe other people complained but the timing was impeccable). Apple actually listens.

@sasha_licious @aidangomez, @nickfrosst @1vnzh are exceptions to the rule. But you are right we should shout them out for staying in Canada, not for any reason other than they love Canada and it is their home.
That being said we should give companies an economic incentive to stay.
