ran some evals: - clearly much better than whisper - even more shocking, quite good at darija - audios with english-arabic interleaved is also much better than whisper (which was pretty unreliable at this, you would have to diarize and transcribe separately for any kind of production load)

@Afinetheorem It’s just demonstrably not the case that Sovereign AI is not useful for cyber defense. Also Canada and the UK are using “Frontier” interchangeably with “Advanced”, and if anything they argue the case for diversification and sovereignty explicitly:

@aidangomez Both the UK and Canadian intelligence agencies disagree, Aidan. There are many uses for non-frontier AI. But there are (obviously!) many adversarial and competitive settings where using those, like using non-frontier drones or fighter jets, is way too costly.

On "AI sovereignty": yesterday the Five Eyes intelligence agencies issued a "you're critical infra systems are going to get hacked unless you use frontier AI - Mythos-level - to secure them very soon". To be clear, sovereign but non-frontier AI is essentially useless here.
