Fostering licenses and connected persons foster placements are entirely separate things and operate so differently

it doesnt matter,, buck was laid off work for his issues.. its unrealistic that he gets the foster license just one month after that while being single and a firefighter

ways they could’ve done BuckTheo storyline better:
1) have Theo be a random kid (not the sperm donor one) with whom Buck connects but then his parents die & he has no next of kin so Buck is thinking about fostering. this actually emphasises the found family msg of the show

@fionaswhvre 1. We already had a typical foster to adopt storyline and saw how hard that was for a married couple with only one first responder.
2. Buck isn’t an addict, and didn’t struggle with addiction. He became dependent but those are two different things.
