I was against this idea when I found out about it but now that the idea of them shifting all dad/son storylines to Buck is in play, cop Eddie would give him a chance to shine instead of always playing second fiddle to Buck’s storylines.

ironically (and not to make this about eddie) the only way i see they can make it again about "chosen family" is if they involve eddie on the storyline and eddie bonds with him and they have a special connection.
