This is where the “tax the rich” crowd lose me. Say I earn 90k a year and in 2027 I inherit $200,000 I invest that $200k and after 10 years in the stock market it’s now worth $400k If I sell it and realise the $200k capital gain, what the govt and the “tax the rich” crowd are saying is that I should be taxed as if I make $290k every year. Now if I try and split that CGT income across 2 people I’m “greedy” and avoiding tax But if I sell down in 4x $100k lots over 4 years and minimise my tax, that’s ok and nobody bats an eyelid - but it’s the same principle.

Objectively CS2s viewership is far superior than leagues. League only shines during Worlds, CS2 maintains a higher active viewership throughout the entire season. Also two totally different markets, one has 59% world population that heavily only.. plays league or StarCraft esq games. The other is definitely more European heavy, but with SA and NA just being there and enjoying it. Shout out to my American players.. The next Top 3 Asian esports games in popularity under League is a Mobile game at 1, Honor of Kings ( Chinese league equivalent ) 2, and then PUBG. There’s no competitor in Asia for esports. Your argument isn’t held well. CS2 throughout the year out performs league, until worlds. That’s it, simply about viewership.

It definitely is, you’re using a moment in esports history of the one of the greatest esport players to ever play a game ever. Literally ever, lmao. It peaked because of Faker. And imagine that it’s the LCK, like i explicitly explained in detail why peak viewership isn’t a good handle to ride on. Meanwhile LCS has had a multi year decline on viewership. CS2s peak this year was 1.2 million. 300k difference is not that much. Please learn how the numbers reflect based on locations i mentioned instead of, “huh big number big, must be better” the peak you’re referring to had 80% of the viewers being from Asia with 20% being rest of world. 1.2 million viewers were Asian. League is an Asian market for esports plain and simple doesn’t matter how else you look at it. They’ve adopted it as a part of their culture. No one else really has, and that’s the truth. Explain why LCS only gets about 85k viewers, or LEC also having a rapid decline in raw live peak metrics. It’s not league it’s the culture it’s been adopted by in Asia. Your argument doesn’t stand like you think.

😮‍💨 national average is the liveable wage. Even above average, i have friends who make 100k, 40k, 70k, etc all different salaries. Not one of them spends $28 on a lunch, literally not once. I’m confused where this random $28 number came from. I spend $23 at Chipotle about twice a month for a double meat/Guac bowl that lasts me about 3 portions of meals. Just because i spent it in one outing does not mean it’s for one meal, ah fuck i spent $8 on this meal, guess I don’t deserve a house! The logic is just not there, neither is the price.

Maybe you don’t. We’re talking about averages, not your personal diary. Then add the subscriptions (7 services on average) and you can add about $940 per year on that. Then look the daily bleed out: $28 lunch. $9 coffee. Streaming. Apps. Gaming subscriptions. DoorDash. Hoodies. Vapes. Weed. Booze. Random Amazon garbage. Death by 1000 cuts Yes, the economy is brutal. But you’re also bleeding money on bullshit you want but don't actually need. So make a choice... Everyone before you had to. Including the dreaded "boomers."
