@lawmaster @SBF_Alameda In the meantime I would offer you to take that bet for X=~3 years, e.g. i bet that "the bitcoin price will reach 100k till the end of 2022" and you bet against that. What do you think?

Can we get a prediction market for whether S2F model will hold up for the next X years? I'd love that cc:@SBF_Alameda

Cash is on its way out. You might not think that’s anything to worry about but there’s a catch. When we lose cash, we lose our freedom. bit.ly/2uihAZ7

I found a reasonable write-up on "The Fair price of LEO", the supply/demand dynamics, and the corresponding fund recovery and crypto market scenarios. gofile.io/?c=DFHyfB $LEO #Bitfinex

@IamNomad @BitcoinErrorLog It happened because of "trolling histories". In my opinion that doesn't justify preemptive bans. If the goal is to have an open discourse then everyone should be considered innocent unless proven guilty, e.g. unless breaking the group rules.

@IamNomad Only thing i can tell is that it was none of our bots. They added @shieldy_bot recently that bans you if you don't solve a captcha within 1 minute after joining. Unless it was for that reason i guess you were banned manually, same as @BitcoinErrorLog and others.

"The mercy of elite backlash is this: the collapse of any pretense of selflessness among winners of our new Gilded Age. It raises the possibility that this age of capital, in which money was the organizing principle of American life, could actually end." time.com/5735384/capita…

@lawmaster Short answer: No Better question: Should anything be done? Again, No. That not much can be done is a feature that makes such networks/applications valuable in the first place. Beside that it is slowly becoming public that these funds are in "good" hands now.

There is now $100M worth of stolen ETH from PlusToken Ponzi sitting in one ETH wallet. Majority of stolen BTC has already been laundered by using various mixing techniques and through Huobi. Can anything be done if the scammers start swapping ETH on Uniswap?

EU's Anti-Money Laundering Directive (5AMLD) is set to take effect in two weeks. Exchanges will have to register and let authorities obtain KYC of users. This means that even Binance and OKEx, both based in Malta, will be required to follow these rules or leave the EU

@krakenfx Is the security bond used for baking taken from customer funds or is that provided by Kraken?

3 years, 4 months and 1 day. This is the hodl line: no matter when in the history of #bitcoin you bought, after 1220 days you would be in profit. Low time preference, can you feel it?

@IslandHunting @franticnews Again, I agree with you. I just think that people are free to define whatever money means to them. If that's long term store of value (whatever the fuck that even means), they are free to think BTC is hard money. That's all narrative is about

As one of the skeptics, this is what I think Bitcoin has going for it: 1. the most developed financial infrastructure - regulated/unregulated spot, derivatives (options, futures, perps) 2. the most liquidity (about 4x as much as the trailing ETH) 3. the most regulatory clarity

What's happening with TRON and Poloniex is an embarrassment. TRON is a centralized marketing garbage coin antithetical to censorship resistance. Funding bullshit FUD funds, announcements of announcements, stupid lunches and nonsense acqusitions designed to enrich few people

Crypto-Apocalypse: Ethereum down 90% from the peak, in free fall and now close to the 2018 low. Still a long way from zero that is its fundamental value. Actually it is worth negative given all the toxic externalities of energy waste and pollution that its mining generates
