@mdorans_ The only guy I saw was Jose but that is very justified and he said in the post game he knows jobs not finished and is locked in but it very reasonable for the Brooklyn kid growing up watching the Knicks put on a 4th quarter like he did and feel the gravity of a moment like that.

@Bigosaur @mdotbrown He gets a good enough look, he is doubled with Wemby away from the paint, has a 4v3 on a put back rebound if he does miss seems like a good decision to me.

@mdotbrown Brunson really wanted to shoot a game winner over Wemby.

@KingGunner_ @swoosh_shrestha @ddale8 I think the post is misleading he obviously wants to make it he actually gets a decent look, was doubled and drew Wemby away allowing a 4v3 on a putback if he misses.

Theory I’m so confident in: Mike Breen was going to debut the triple BANG if the Brunson shot went down, which is why he instead did a triple “it’s good”

@KnicksMemes If Wemby wasn’t on Jalen he would’ve looked for a better shot, it was deep but a decent enough look while he took two defenders away from the paint allowing the rest of the guys to crash for a tip in if he missed. Completely reasonable shot

@MyNBADrakeBull1 @HoodiGarland It was literally the best possible decision, had a double team with Wemby on him still got a decent look and allowed all his guys to crash the boards because it was a quick shot. Perfect situational basketball.

@ItsSoccer17 @JarrodRobichaux @MarshallGreen_ You gonna say the same thing now? 23 FTs to 6. At half so they shot 17 more. Play basketball the refs haven’t decided any games but that’s all anyone is talking about, the crying narrative is tired af, if you aren’t the Kings in 2002 I don’t wanna hear you bitch about refs

@jrborman13 The knicks literally have been trying you fucking loser lmao. It's why Victor lashed out. Maybe talk about how the knicks have been consistently dirty through out the whole series instead of focusing on a single player.

Yeah it’s a missed call, a flagrant 1 and all that. But every Wemby incident from the Naz elbow, to the Dort shove, to this has been Wemby letting opponents know if you try to play him too physically you might get hit with the Shaolin fists of fury and I honestly gotta respect it

@RonnieDobbs2000 @Wolvesmuse So with this logic all players who have their jersey being grabbed should be able to grab the opposing player by the neck and shove them to the ground yea? You hear how stupid that sounds lol.

@Wolvesmuse Brunson is hooking him and holding him, he shoves him off. That is not a flagrant. Are you new to basketball? Just because brunson throws himself to the floor to sell it doesn't change that it's a shove off.

I think people have lost site of why flagrant fouls exist it’s primarily to protect players who are in vulnerable positions for example a player who’s in the air for a layup or a dunk who takes unnecessary contact that can cause injury Brunson wasn’t in a compromised position he simply was shoved seen grade school kids push each other with more force on the playground and people want a flagrant foul for that unbelievable

@MaarvasBrick @RealDickBayless @BrianJNBA If Wemby wants to assert himself and let guys know to not fuck with him I’m all for it but in doing so you get called for a flagrant (or at least should if your anyone else in the league but the NBA golden boy) lmao.

It's a great sign that Mike Brown's first reaction after Game 3 was complaining about the officiating. Meanwhile, the Spurs are focused on the things they can actually control: cutting down mistakes, attacking the paint, and relentlessly targeting Brunson and Shamet defensively. If New York's biggest takeaway is "the refs weren't helping us," then San Antonio has a real opportunity to take Game 4 too.

@SpursReporter And you are now cherry picking his post game press conference to fit your agenda lmao. He gives credit to the spurs says the Knicks have to play better and just wants consistency from the officiating.

This is a classic example of a postgame press conference where a coach cherry-picks the data to work the officials for the next game. Knicks coach Mike Brown's rant is great theater, but the math shows a game of two distinct halves rather than a one-sided officiating conspiracy. In the first two quarters, the whistle actually favored New York as the Knicks took nearly twice as many free throws as the Spurs. Perhaps the most telling reality check came from the Knicks' own players. Following this presser, both Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson publicly pushed back on Brown's narrative, with Towns flatly stating to the media that the referees "didn't cost us the game." So when you see Knicks fans spreading this fake narrative point them to this tweet and the facts.
